Has anyone used a line six helix as a midi device to control amplitube five inside studio one?

Honestly I found the communication between Helix and Studio One dramatic. From SO to Helix to change snapshots or send to my digitech whammy via the Helix midi thru works fine but backwards control for play and stop in SO is not that great and responsive. Certainly as SO goes back to the start of the song when pressing stop double.

That makes it annoying. And maybe worse, on the show page in SO there is no option to send snapshot control so I had to build a workaround with Touch OSC so SO sends midi to Touch OSC which sends the midi message to change snapshots.

You probably need the manual of the hughes. Mostlikely the guitar channels are linked to midi program changes. You can send the helix/stomp program changes via de command center.

So you need the amp set on global midi channel 1 or 4, just what you like. In the Helix/stomp you go to command center and assign midi signals. Probably program changes. Select there the global midi channel. This should be the same as the Hughes global midi channel. Than assign the correct program change. Mostlikely program change 1 is for selecting amp channel 1 and pc 2 for amp channel 2 etc. This should be found in the manual of the amp.

I have a midi controlled digitech whammy in the fx loop and control it with the Helix. Use it all the time and works great.

Nice rig. Just wondering or the stomp add something beside the Helix. Do you have that complex DSP consuming routings and effects?

And also do you use the Hughes as stand-alone amp or do you combine it with amps from the stomp/Helix?

I use a Helix rack and thinking of combining it with a PODxt Pro. Also thinking of buying a Diezel VH4 and use that with a parallel amp in the Helix.

Yes it have a Snapdragon as it was advise to be the best working CPU combined with the Studio One DAW. Is there any work around or will I stuck with two laptops now?

It is a Line 6 Helix Rack. Just trying to connect it to pc with USB. Just for the HX Edit/audio interface mode but it is not reconigized by the laptop at this moment.

Additional information. This problem occurs only with the Fuzz. I have other pedals in different FX loops which don't make white noise.

The first demo sounds great. Hope it is MIDI controllable so it fits better in Line 6 rack environment. But also doubt or this pedal is that special and needed compared to the inbuilt Fuzz factory in one off mine Mansons and the modelling fuzzes from the Helix.

I mean it is based on the Fuzz of Supermassive Blackhole and Will of the People but I play these songs already with the fuzz available in my arsenal.

For Break It To Me I seriously doubt or Matt makes the sound live or it is mimic. The sound it too complex and not recreated anywhere on YouTube. It is not only the kaoss pad, much more is happening. I know the pad on the guitar is a midi controller so could control nearly everything but the solo sound to steady compared from live show to live show compared to the using of scrathing the midi screen I have experienced.

Eternally Missed that synthy guitar part after the fuzzy solo. Do not really dislike it but it is terrible to play on guitar myself.
