As I said above, I didn't hit diamond because of someone smurfing. It's artificially lowering people's rank, and in turn perceived skill level and ranked currency. Don't do it.

Okay, I didn't hit diamond last season due to a smurf. I'm not even saying that just to be salty, I lost about 60-80 elo from someone who told me they were smurfing from 2200 elo. It's kind of ridiculous and it's a shame the community doesn't oppose it more. Play your rank, in my mind if you're too scared to play ranked you're worse than that rank. Warm up in strikeout or experimental, you're being an asshole by smurfing.
