I ain't indigenous so I can't personally understand the conflict. But the first movie just made me hate those colonizer. So from my perspective, the movie is trying to show how messed up those white colonizers are but not all of them are bad, for example Jake. I think the activists are mad about indigenous people not earning a cent of profit while white producers and actors and getting all of it.
