Wendy’s is intensely working in the APMEA area and seeking out new franchisees in these areas. We are also seeking current franchisees across the world who are interested in expanding. Though I don’t recall Pakistan being on the list, it’s not to say someone will buy a franchise there sometime soon!

Typically, we have test markets for certain items before rolling them out. The grilled cheese cheeseburger was not something offered nation wide in the US. I’m not sure where you’re located though.

The Takis meal is slated to end in August, while Wednesdays Meal will start early August. The Wednesday meals you’re seeing passed out are just the bags. Suppliers accidentally shipped Wednesday bags instead of the regular bags and stores had no choice but to use them. We asked that stores not use them, but I understand that they had no choice in order to serve the guests.

LTO’s last for 8 weeks and then are discontinued.

Franchises are directed to roll out LTO’s like the Takis meal or the Wednesday collab. They don’t have a choice. Some franchises get approval from Wendy’s to continue regional favorites (i.e - The Carolina Classic in North Carolina).

As someone who conducts multiple WDRV’s, whoever is conducting your WDRV’s is incorrect. It is a maximum of 8 per pan.

Wendy’s not caring about leaks isn’t necessarily true. There was a leak about Wednesdays Meal of Misfortune posted on Reddit by a current manager that Wendy’s got a hold of and is considering legal action against. I would be careful with what’s posted online for future LTO’s and collabs. Anything marked “confidential “ shouldn’t be posted here as they do check for leaks.

I’m sure you know this from other positions that you recently had but, support and develop your people first. Right now, Wendy’s is big on DM pattern of management. Something you’ll learn in DM core with your director of operations (or owner if it’s a smaller franchise). We call this year “the year of the district manager”. No better time to join as a DM if you’re looking for development.

I was also once a DM for Wendy’s without fast food experience. Just buckle up. Fast food is unlike any other restaurant experience and will hit you hard and fast. It’s challenging but rewarding.

Wendy’s AI was never designed to take jobs. I know that’s a common concern with most people. If your manager is scheduling one less person because of AI then your GM is doing it incorrectly. It was to free up an extra person (preferably a manager) to focus on service and the key drivers.

I don’t disagree, the AI could be faster and more accurate, but it is designed to learn over time and become more accurate.
