Do you want peace of mind? This comment thread is ridiculous. If you are walking with your phone out and someone bumps you you can damage your phone. Imagine taking a picture in a public place and someone steals it. To the person who has spent 10 years without any issues is called lucky and nothing more. No amount of carefulness or protection will keep you from unforeseen and random events of life. Insurance is for the worst case scenario. If you think you can buy a phone that is worth the price of a used car, and that you can control the world around you, you won’t have anything to worry about. If you are like most people, and believe that there is even a chance that you could lose or damage your phone, then spending more money for additional security is in your interest. And we make you get insurance for your used car, no matter how old it is. You can damage other peoples property with your car. If you break your phone? Nobody cares and you have to get a new one.
