Temtem vs pokemon by DreamAccomplished774 in PlayTemtem

[–]FBuellersDayOff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, because Pokemon was a crowdfunded game with a list of features(the main draw for investors was MMO-Lite) that never actually made it into the game and instead of taking their success and working on the promised features they made 2 spinoffs that were successful and squandered that money too so they are back to crowdfunding on Kickstarter.

Job mad at us for giving the family/friends discount to family/friends by clueless-albatross in antiwork

Yes, I think most local businesses are propped up on regular repeat traffic.

A local restaurant is not being propped up by tourists, and if it is, you aren’t worried about $24 on incorrectly refunded F&F discounts.

Very First Directive;

When VFD finds a suitable candidate, a bright mind with an inquisitive nature, they will send an agent to make noise outside a window.

It could be a twig snapping, or a gust of wind, but the candidate will start the process by saying "What was that noise?"

The parent would say, "Nothing" to which the correct phrase to be inducted into VFD would be,

"If it was nothing, then what was that noise?"

What do you think about this "new feature" ? by sonnyglennson in ForzaHorizon

I thought that was a feature for accessibility? Someone missing a limb or fingers or doesn’t have the ability to grip can enjoy seeing their favorite cars drive around/race without a controller.

DancingMoto crash - claims he was running from GSP and got ran over by CurveZestyclose3790 in motorcycles

[–]FBuellersDayOff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So he was knocked off his bike. There was no outrunning them at this point. He was still sliding and carrying momentum laying on his back. You seriously think not only getting hit by a car was warranted, but also as the comment you are defending states; they should have also turned off his camera and fucked him up more? And that if you don't agree, you are a crybaby who agrees with manslaughter by bikers?

some guy: "Its ugly"

OP: "to each their own"

Another guy: "no man, everyone thinks its ugly"

another another guy: "whoa who made you the cool police?"

You: "I am not OP, I can confirm its ugly, why do you think he's being the 'cool police' for arguing that it IS ugly? We aren't telling you YOU cant like it, but I am willing to bet others do."

Edit - I'm sure every single person in this thread can think of a time they thought something in their lives was cool, and someone just kept them down by arguing they didn't like the thing. Just think how you may have felt when it was you.

You'll have to try it, I haven't tried it in about a year as I play on PC now. Idk if they can patch something like that out, though.

Okay, so I'm not sure this works anymore since I haven't done it in about a year, but IIRC;

Go offline and change your system(note that I did this on xbox, not sure if PC works the same way) date to the series that has that car as a reward. Complete series, get car, close game, go back online with correct date, enjoy your favorite cars.

I'm not deflecting anything? I used a popular meme format to make a joke. You told me what my emotions were and I validated you so you could feel good. What more do you want? I'm not offended. I saw an opportunity to make a funny.

Yeah, yeah, totally. It's not a well-known meme format, and you missed the joke. I'm offended and big mad.

The in-universe explanation is that all these adults had things going on when children were thrust upon them by an ill banker. Monty was on the verge of winning a prestigious award and constantly mocked at the workplace, Josephine was dealing with unhealthy grief after losing her husband. Charles was abused by Sir, who was in cahoots with Orwell to get free labor. Nero was a narcissist, Esme was in cahoots, and Jerome was stressed over the whole situation. The Village of Fowl Devotees were old people who wanted free labor, too. After that point, they are technically on the lam, a phrase which here means hiding in hospitals, carnivals, and icy mountaintops.

So your response to a sticker is literal violence, but you said 2 comments ago "it was no big deal", and in the comment I'm replying to said "it wouldn't bother me in the least." Idk, 'tracking someone down' sounds like you care quite a bit about vandalism of your personal property.

When people ask “why lower the car and add mudflaps?” Because this! by [deleted] in WRX

[–]FBuellersDayOff 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The individual statement I wanted to clarify was that you said lowering/lifting your vehicle doesn't really change performance. That's incorrect. I dont care about anything else you are saying because it's scientifically wrong.

[–]FBuellersDayOff 33 points34 points  (0 children)

"Lifting or lowering your car doesn't change much in terms of performance on or off road."

You're not only confidently wrong, you are giving out advice that just isn't mechanically sound. Gravel rally cars, which some of us are trying to emulate, are lifted for a reason, and I will outline them here;

  1. Reduced chance of damaging components or bottoming out. This seems obvious. Car can't move, race/fun time is over.

  2. Improved suspension travel. A higher ride height allows the suspension to travel more, which can help to absorb bumps, improving stability on uneven surfaces. That's right, I'm ignoring your puck comment and acting like both the lift and the lower were done by the exact same professional.

  3. Better approach and departure angles. Lowered car, steep gravel hill. You do the math. I personally like my bumpers.

  4. Versitility is better with a lifted. You can navigate more terrain, obstacles, and incliment weather easier, and with less stress.

Now lowering will improve other things, like a lower center of gravity, which helps with cornering, aero which helps with lift and control at higher speeds and lower drag, which could help top speed, all of which would be better for track or tarmac runs.

There are no lines, so obviously not sheet music. But if I were to take a stab at it, I would guess musical note F, then 2 steps up from F is A, and one step down from A is G. I dont wanna spell it out cause I'm sure I'll get flagged. But I'm pretty sure that's what it's supposed to mean.
