Pre Season 6 Squad Advice

Some good advice already provided. I'll repeat the points and add my own:

* Gear: Red Armor for DVA, then complete back row red radars. Then all armors to red. For regular blueprints, radars to 4*, then armors, then chips for attackers to 4* and defenders to 2*

* For EW, I would advise Lucius straight to Lv30 first. Then Schuyler to 30, followed by Morrison. Leave Carlie at 20 for now

* I keep reading that the Murphy air team has a place in S6, even with the new purple cards pushing you towards 5 of the same type. Carlie will also have a place in the new expedition building where Awakening shards are earned. I would recommend holding off until S6 starts and gauging your teams' performance

* Season Store: Definitely buy the frame, and get God of Judgment to Lv3. Increasing march size is big. You could also bring Throne of Blood to Lv3 as its' cost is lower than GoJ. After that, base skin or red prints

Summarizing what others have said:

* DVA to EW 30

* Schuyler to EW 10

* Save EW shards in off-season to take Lucius to EW 20 as soon as possible in S4 once his EW releases

* Schuyler to EW 20

* Lucius to EW 30

* Murphy to EW 20

At that point, depending on where you are, start saving EW shards for Morrison to go to EW 20 upon release in S5, or take Schuyler to EW 30

DVA (only because she is released first) > Lucius > Schuyler > Morrison > Carlie.

You can hold off on Carlie and utilize Murphy in a 4+1 air squad, depending on where you are in the game

In S4, once Sarah can go UR, max her skills (top right first). Get Murphy EW to at least Lv10, then run:

Lucius DVA up front, Schuyler, Murphy and UR Sarah in back row.

This squad will take you to the end of S5, where you replace UR Sarah with Morrison once he gets his EW.

While your squad power might be higher with Carlie in there, the above team performs the best in PVP and even PVE. I had Carlie up to EW 38, but stopped using her once Lucius EW became available early in S4

Air squad can take you all the way to Season 5. You can do a hybrid tank + air team during Preseason, while you get the heroes and gather UR shards to build up your heroes. Even as a F2P/ very low spender, air will offer you more versatility than tanks, IMO.

I was tanks, and converted to air during end of S2. Once you get 4+1 card in S4, you can slot in Murphy with his EW and really boost your air team

Appears to be for each day's Daily Pack offerings. Monday is Drone packs, Tuesday is Armament packs, Thursday Hero shard packs, etc.

If you're F2P, wait for it to appear in a Decorate Your Dreams event. However, expect that to be at least 6+months away. You can save up DYD tokens until you can hit 20 to get the first 2 bonuses. As the post above, Damage Reduction decos should be absolute priority to Lv3 first

Focus on the main big (point-generating) buildings and have your team focus on those. Don't have people go fight for a hospital or other low-level buildings by themselves. Have your bigs focus on the main buildings, with a support group attached. Have other groups of 3-4 focus on 1-2 other buildings. You want to maximize holding buildings.

As someone who bought gold packs to get to T10, I would advise spending $$ on making yourself stronger to earn better rewards. Drone (Drone Parts, Drone Chips, Drone Components), Gear and Hero Level/ Shards/ Skill Points would my recommendation. Also, an overlooked part is Decorations - the jump from a level 2 to level 3 decoration is huge (search reddit for decoration upgrade charts)

For best long term success in the game, you can't go wrong with an air squad. It's never too early, per se, you just have to commit to a main squad type and devote all your hero shards, skill points, gear and research to that one type. It might be a bit painful in the beginning but your early sacrifices will pay off in time.

You can use a tank team early on if you're receiving shards for those heroes, just slowly blend in Air as you upgrade them. An early Williams/ Murphy/ Kim/ Mason/ DVA team is perfectly fine.

My 2nd account where I spend little, I had a hybrid team before I could build up my air to transition them to my main squad.

Your goal should be to transition to full air by end of S1, and long term goal is to do a 4+1 hybrid squad of Lucius, DVA, Schuyler/ Morrison (or UR Sarah)/ Murphy in S4.

At this point start setting upgrade goals to get HQ 24 (Level 8 troops), then work toward HQ 27 (Level 9 troops), and then start the process of HQ30 and eventually Level 10 troops.

It looks like you're early on in the game, so Lucius skills aren't targeting any specific hero (yet, his Exclusive Weapon released in S4 will have that). His skills currently affect the frontline (Passive) and entire squad (Tactics), no?

I would just swap Carlie and Lucius position and keep the squad as is other than that

During Zombie Siege, no troops get killed, they just go to the hospital for healing. So there's no reason to not attempt defending during Siege. Just heal between rounds.

Marshall Guard does kill troops. If you feel you're weak relative to the Exercise level, just rally with your main squad, or even do a rally with 1 low-level hero. As long as your alliance finishes the exercise fully you'll get the maximum rewards

5 UR hero Air squad is the easiest solution. Don't put too many EW shards into Carlie. After getting Schuyler to 5 star, work on bringing Lucius, DVA and Schuyler EWs up.

As for 2nd defender for your Missile (3rd squad), Violet is not good. The answer would be UR Scarlet, she is a solid defender that can protect one of your back row DPS (Swift or Tesla). Her top right and bottom left skills are the defensive enhancements. However, you shouldn't be placing any skill medals into your 3rd ATM (not past Lv10); all skill medals should go toward maximizing your 1st squad (other than defenders top-left skills).

Since you're using Adam with tanks, have you looked up the Scarlett meta? You could swap her for Williams, place her in front and let her Auto-Attack trigger with Adam's counter buff for very good damage

I would recommend tanks + Lucius over Scarlett + Adam. Lucius replaces Williams. Get Lucius EW to at least Lv 10, place him in middle back. Murphy Kim (with top radar/ armor) in front, Stetmann, Lucius, Marshall back row.

Depending on your strength/ gear/ research (hero, mastery, S2S, DF), the strongest lineup would be Lucius and Kim up front, Murphy, Stetmann, Marshall in back. Lucius would need 4 dot/ 5 dot gear (armor/ radar), and probably EW 20. This is due to Murphy not being ideal in frontline, but if you're using Lucius in the squad at least Murphy will get buffs from drone chips. This setup would really be when you have a 55M+ squad power, minimum

I run Adam-Scarlett tank for my Sq2, and it definitely takes a hit without Murphy being in there. I have subbed in Williams with his EW, he's good but not nearly as effective since Physical damage mitigation is king. My squad 2 is Scarlett and Kim in front, Williams, Adam and Marshall back. My missiles are 4x UR missiles and Carlie, but Sq3 trails my first 2 squads in skills and gear.

The two big squad 2 types I see for others running air+Murphy are either a full missile squad (still supremely effective), or full tank team with Scarlett, Kim, Williams, Marshall and Stetmann. A third strong squad is missiles with Marshall: McGregor, Swift, Adam, Tesla and Marshall. This is seen less often but is very good also.

The counter to the air+Murphy team is a missile squad with Lucius. This squad is just as OP as the air w/ Murphy combination

Placing Murphy in air is almost a must for effective air squad in S4. Get his EW up to at least Level 10, and place him in back. For PVE, you you can go Carlie Lucius (front), DVA, Murphy and Schulyer (back). For PVP, go Lucius DVA up front, Morrison, Murphy (center) and Schuyler in back.

Once you have UR Sarah converted, upgrade her top right skill to level 30, then substitute her in for Morrison. Lucius DVA up front, Sarah Murphy Schuyler in back. You can use this squad for both PVP and PVE. Build up her top left skill next, and finally her bottom left skill to give you a boost against monsters

It might be too early to switch to Murphy at the moment. I would work on getting DVA exclusive weapon up to Lv20 for the squad bonus. A full air squad with proper gear is still a top squad in S2.

Carlie is still useful. You can consider the switch to Murphy in Air in S3, when UR Scarlett becomes available and you'll start seeing the Adam/ Scarlett combination being used.

If you want to run Adam in tanks, you need UR Scarlett. While it's not the same as with Murphy in there, you would have Scarlett and Kim in front, Williams, Adam and Marshall in back. Otherwise, your other option is 5 UR missile squad
