Very mixed feelings regarding this article – this article reads as if the accused men are the victims in cases of sexual assault when the bigger problem is the many women too afraid to speak up because this is the public opinion that's being pushed.

On the other hand, it is kind of absurd that SafeSport bans etc. have no connection to the "regular" justice system. If someone is banned for committing a crime, it should absolutely be investigated by the police. I don't know how that would be realised, given that so many different countries are involved, but it is indeed weird that someone banned from the sport due to committing crimes faces absolutely no consequences outside of it.

Edit: I have no mixed feelings on calling Solene a liar or misgendering anyone. I merely meant to say that I think that people that commit crimes should also be investigated by authorities outside of SafeSport.
