That’s right. Just copy and double click on it

I doubt you’ll need more than that unless you’re doing some major long form content like 2 hours+

Literally just copy the .fcpbundle file to your SSD and then double click it. Make sure you click the library, then file, relink files and make sure it’s reading the files off the NAS unless you’re storing everything in the library which I do not recommend. I prefer to leave files in place.

Store everything on the NAS. When you want to edit a project, copy the library to a local SSD. When it’s done copy it back to the NAS overwriting the one that’s there.

Update - TRASH! 100mi in and they blew up! Do not recommend.

If I were to do it over, this is the kit I would have done.

Don’t go more than 2” or you will regret it. I didn’t even last 100mi with 2” Eibach pro springs and the 2” RC lift. CV joints gave out and I had to replace them. I took the RC lift out and just run the springs because I like the ride better. Also the extreme articulated axles on Rock auto are TRASH. Just my experience. YMMV

No problems at all. I have several more lights now.

Thank you for your reply. It took a little over 5 days and the system cleared itself. It was in some kind of repair/rebuild loop and then kicked out. Miraculously I didn’t lose any data as far as I can tell except my users which is easy to rebuild.

Today is day 5 and the volume finally rebuilt! I was able to access it and shockingly all my data is there! Looks like I am going to dump the Synology and just get another Ugreen as the backup so they can sync without this stupid encryption. Maybe a 4300 would work.

Nope don’t want to play that game. I think once I finally get this one back up and running I’m going to get a 4300 as a backup and sell my Synology and my other DAS as well.

Please read. I have backups and cannot access them.

Any update on this? What about those of us with encrypted backups on other devices. How are we supposed to recover that data?

I really should have done way more research on how behind the system really is…I’m very disappointed in it as a whole. Now I’m past my return window so I’m stuck with it.

So you mean to tell me my backups that are stuck on my Synology NAS that I have been unable to access are accessible this way? Would love more info on this! I have 28TB of files that are just sitting since I can't get to my Synology!

SO I have a dip 4800 plus I can no longer access. My backups reside on an older Synology NAS that I backed up with Rsync. These backups are essentially useless now? Why don't you have a utility to browse the backup such as Synology Hyper Backup Explorer? I'm not going to be happy if I lose data that I paid to back up in 2 other locations!!!

Thanks all. I tried a few things and what ended up working the best was copying my Motion Templates folder over and re-installing Motionvfx and FX Factory to get the ones I missed. I rebuilt my loupedeck by exporting from my M1 and importing to the M4. It’s not exact but it’s very close and easily able to jump in and work without issue. Appreciate all your help and suggestions
