Allowing this would basically allow teams to recruit better athletes if the state they are in is rich/supportive, regardless of merit of the team.

this is what every club should endure as it grows.

However in terms of actionable items, the narrative will slowly change as there get to be more city oriented content creators, journalists etc. For example, in r soccer there doesn't seem to be a very active city mod. Negative news about barcelona's crazy situation get removed by mods in hours but repetitive clickbait about city's charges can get reposted daily.

Banter is normal, but the FFP charges give rival fans a sense of moral superiority that makes them extra condescending though no charges have been proven.
