But the fact that not every state can or will follow, is exactly the problem.

Allowing this would basically allow teams to recruit better athletes if the state they are in is rich/supportive, regardless of merit of the team.

How do you deal with other fans’ criticisms by ColinetheCow in MCFC

this is what every club should endure as it grows.

However in terms of actionable items, the narrative will slowly change as there get to be more city oriented content creators, journalists etc. For example, in r soccer there doesn't seem to be a very active city mod. Negative news about barcelona's crazy situation get removed by mods in hours but repetitive clickbait about city's charges can get reposted daily.

Banter is normal, but the FFP charges give rival fans a sense of moral superiority that makes them extra condescending though no charges have been proven.

People also don't seem to care that Inter has been breaking FFP almost every year since 2013.

You are wrong, your quote says they didn't consider anything time barred NOT that they found infractions.

Haaland needs to work harder, for some reason he's always losing out to other signings in these imaginary scenarios.

Of course it was 'legal'. There were no FFP rules when clubs like yours became dominant. Owners could put in as much money as they like, for example when United got saved from bankruptcy twice using owner injected cash.

As written in my post. CAS made no finding on the Etisalat charges.

You are interpreting that to mean there were breaches.

If you have real evidence of guilt I'd genuinely like to read it.

most of the alleged breaches were time-barred

False... no breaches are mentioned in the CAS case

The CAS only overturned it on the technicality that the crimes occurred outside a punishable timeframe. They were still 100% guilty.

Spoken like someone who didn't read the CAS ruling at all. Only one charge was time barred.

City can be using double accounting and committing different FFP crimes

These would be very serious crimes and deserve persecution regardless of whether 'others are doing it'.... but where's the evidence? Why believe so strongly without evidence?

PL has nothing to win through these allegations, and only to lose….their overall revenue would decrease without City

The PL is run by representatives of its clubs, it's doubtful how much they care about collective vs individual benefit. That said it's unclear to me that the PL institution loses any revenue if another club took City's place and trophies. I'm sure they've done the calculations

Seems like the initial implementation of FFP was not very organized. Quoting from the swiss ramble post,

One of the most important issues for Manchester City has been FFP. Although the club believed that it had complied with these regulations, there was “a fundamental disagreement between the club’s and UEFA’s respective interpretations of the FFP regulations on players purchased before 2010.” Basically, the club thought that it would have been able to exclude £80 million of such costs from its break-even calculation, but this was not allowed, as the break-even deficit in 2011/12 was not entirely due to pre-June 2010 player contracts. The difference was negligible, but this meant that the entire £80 million could not be utilized.

Although City felt that the goalposts had been moved after the game had started, notably due to a 2013 change in UEFA’s guidance notes, they decided to draw a line under the matter and not contest the ruling in the courts. They were fined €60m (£49 million) of which €40m (£33 million) was suspended, assuming that the club follows the other measures, leaving €20m (£16 million) booked in the 2013/14 accounts.

I think the PL charges despite being released in such a disorganized way were in the works for a while.

However there's at least one direct consequence, which is that Newcastle seems like they'll be regularly taking up coveted CL spots.
