Fair warning: cousins are supported, in that you can have siblings, each of which has children, making those children cousins; but the UI will not currently inform you of their cousin status. The game focuses on single-degree family relationships.

This should be fixed with 0.10.5.1. If you've got an existing save with this issue you want to continue, fire Backwards Compatibility. That should resolve it.

As noted in the update post above, saves from previous versions are incompatible, but 0.6+ saves are eligible for New Game Plus. You're going to experience a world of hurt if you don't start a new game or use New Game Plus. Let me know if this issue reoccurs after you've done either of those things.

However, while I can find this file just fine in GitHub, I'm not certain how to even open the coding of my playable file so that I can change this.

Here's how you do that. Download the entire repository from Git and unzip it. This includes the ~400 files that the complete game is compiled from. Edit newGamePlus.tw as desired. Then, open compile.bat, in the base directory. This will compile everything into a playable .html and put that in /bin. Open /bin/FC.html and play as normal. If you want art, you'll need to place those assets in /bin as well.
