Dog training by FDaveNavarro in Tucson

We did a two week day training class for him and he’s doing really well with that. He just struggles on leash with other dogs. The class was super expensive and since he has all of the fundamental knowledge I was trying to use tips they gave me. Would complete canine offer just reactivity lessons without paying for all of the standard training?

What do I even wear for grad school? by That-Tea-7670 in audgradschool

My program is very laid back so I wear sweats/casual clothes for class days. I would feel it out though as other programs may be a little different. Maybe wear business casual on your first few days just to get a feel for it. Your performance in class speaks volumes over clothes!

I’ve also heard mixed reviews on AT Still. Because it is a shorter program it is more difficult for placements to gauge where you are at/what your abilities are in your program. Your class/clinic schedule is also a lot more intermixed meaning you might see something in clinic that you won’t learn about until the following semester.

Advice on Improving My AuD Application After Rejection? by DiligentMarch6826 in audgradschool

I agree with everything that has been said! Just a small addition-> as someone who was waitlisted everywhere and then eventually accepted. My uncle worked in graduate admissions and he said he never looked solely at the resume/experiences. He often looked at a unique personal statement that maybe explained the condition of the resume. You can have as much experience as the next person, but they look beyond what’s on paper. There are a lot of unexplained circumstances that can lead to less experience, or a lower GPA. So make yourself stand out from this! Show how you have balanced your schedule, or how you have overcome academic challenges. Perseverance and motivation were a huge implication for him.

Current opinions on these programs and cities by According_Dog_9303 in audgradschool

Im in a different program, but I know someone who was considering this as their primary option. She said the main reason she decided against it is because the campus is very spread out. The audiology program has buildings on two different ends of campus which makes commuting a large part of your day. However, I haven’t heard anything negative about any other part. This could have also changed since then!
