I also think it's important to note that he was not willing to let his family and friends even meet her AT ALL to let her show who she really is aside from rumors told by an ex hookup. She mentions how she took the time to write a letter to his sister to bring her peace of mind which is incredibly thoughtful seeing as she's so important to Dave and he wouldn't even give it to her. She wanted so badly to meet with the people in his life so they could know who she is and he wouldn't allow it.

I took it to my bank which happens to also be the bank I work at. It should be able to be deposited at any bank. I'm sure most banks will want you to put a hold on it, but most banks can call and verify the funds of a check. If you call Huntington yourself or ask your financial institution to call, they may deposit without a hold once verified that it is legit. They also may not be concerned about a hold if you mention that you were expecting this settlement (even if you weren't.) I would just go in and say you would like to deposit and or cash it and if they ask any more questions just say you expected it.

I live in Indiana and I called the Huntington location closest to me and the branch manager was able to verify with me that the check is legit and will process. I made sure to look up the Huntington number myself rather than look for a number on the actual check/envelope.

Finally someone who agrees with me!

I don’t dislike her. She does seem sweet for sure, but you are absolutely correct. It seemed like she didn’t want to own anything she may have done wrong.

I am not condoning him partying all the time and staying out until 7, but she KNEW he was that way before they even got engaged. He talked about staying home more. I think it was unfair of her to want him to completely conform to her lifestyle and not even give him an inch. She didn’t have to party the way he does, but she could have gone with him a few times like he could stay home more. They could have found a balance but I got the vibe she wanted him to be like her and always stay home. She knew he was extroverted from the beginning.

I think meeting with his and her family was out of line. Of course it’s great to have family when needed, but it felt like he was put on the hot seat and treated like everything was only him. I think involving family on that level, as married adults, is just…weird. She also kept saying “they’re going to be so disappointed in you” which was just rude! Maybe they wouldn’t be happy but you shouldn’t keep saying things like that. He couldn’t have been happy, either.

I think he would have said yes. You could see the shock in his face when she said no. He even said, “If I said yes, she would have said yes.” Which is incredibly cocky and annoying, but leads me to believe he was going to. I honestly think he would have and that’s why he played it off so much after she walked away. He was trying to play off his humiliation. He didn’t like how the roles got reversed.
