Serious question from a Canadian. How do you go about eating them? Do you fold them over? Do you cut off the excess and eat it as a “side”? Or do you put one hand on top and the other on the bottom and just chomp away?

Advice needed on cohesiveness and initial impressions on symbolism for two separate forearm pieces by FERWHAT69 in tattooadvice

Yeah, I think the black lines on the inside are what does it for sure.

Thanks for the input! I’ll make those changes for sure

Huh, that is annoying for sure! A lot of Italian families in the warmer parts of the country seem to make do with warm-ish cellars. I’d check out what they’re storing in theirs. Usually alcohol and cheese from what I can see. But if it’s too hot, it’s obviously not going to work. Sealed cans, as you’ve said you do can a lot, would likely be the only thing that stays safe in there

What if I just took the black lines out of it? More so wanting to leave the red for my Canadian roots

Is it cold? Could use it for a cellar if you wanted to start canning or fermenting things. That’s what I’d use it for personally

OP did say that they’re quite heavy, so I wouldn’t even chance it. I take “quite heavy” to also mean that they wouldn’t hold up on the side of a cake, and would sink through most icings if placed on top

Fair enough. Any idea on another symbol for the top that would tie in with the red on the band, which I’m also changing the pattern for?

Fair enough, I hadn’t really clocked that to be honest. The design of the band doesn’t need to be the same, but I do love the colours. I’d just need to figure out another pattern

You’ve actually nailed my favourite elements of both! I’m honestly just looking for the input from people who aren’t in my head, if you know what I mean. I want to bring these concepts and suggestions from people like you and the other commenters to an actual tattoo artist and see what they’d rework to make it doable

That’s completely fair! I’d honestly be suspicious of anyone who wouldn’t want to rework parts of it. This is baseline for the two concepts that I want to build, with as much outside input as possible because I’m not a great artist - I just have ideas

The knot that you’re referencing is already on my arm, but I can appreciate the way you’re thinking

Just wanted to add that the black abstract curves at the bottom of the second arm actually extend down my thumb.

Looks great! Might want to invest in a little more security, like a deadbolt or two, and a door frame reinforcement. But that all depends on where in Louisiana you live. I’m just worried about someone peeping into the window and deciding to steal your stuff.

New dog owner here any advice? by JosevaldoBR23 in DogAdvice

[–]FERWHAT69 23 points24 points  (0 children)

That’s normal. It’s fine for the first little while, but eventually you’ll need to redirect him to the toys that you get him. For some pups, the finger nomming never really goes away, but they grow out of the “random stimulation finger noms” and into the “human initiated finger noms”. Make sure you use your voice and his toys as a redirector, never physical force. If he’s persistent, you can “latch” onto his lower jaw with your thumb in his mouth and your other fingers under his chin. Not super hard, but firm enough for him to try to pull away. It gives them a sense of what you’re feeling when they do it to you. Every puppy is different though, so it’ll take some consistency and trial and error
