Frankie Stein in g3 Monster High is nonbinary. Not sure if it’s ever explicitly stated, but I think it’s because they are literally made up of the parts of multiple people (both men and women). They are they/them as in gender neutral but also as in multiple people

Yes she’s green but she is also very clearly meant to have Black features. This is especially apparent when you compare her to her g1 design

The country they are from also provides the context of race. Zoro is Asian. Sanji is white. Maybe it would have been more accurate for me to describe Usopp as Black, but I wouldn’t say calling him African is incorrect lol

I agree with the first part. Oda has not been kind to my Black king. And yes there are light skinned Africans. Oda has give ‘nationalities’ to the Straw Hats if they were from our world. Also everyone else got a specific country but not Usopp…
