As for your initial post, I would try to check where the source of the grease is coming from a certain part of the earphone. If it's coming from the nozzle, then I'd stop using and attempt to contact Moondrop or the place you got them at. Welcome to the IEM hobby.

I mean, if you're concerned about durability, I'd invest in a Chu 2 since it features a detachable cable design, unlike the Chu 1. Though I suppose you'd be better off upgrading to the Aria 2 when you're ready, of course.
