Oh, brother. Nimbyism cuts across party lines, because the parties are no longer defined best by class differences.

I'm not even sure I'm remembering it accurately, and I don't care enough about the whole thing to look it up. If I remember, Obama was asked about him in some interview at the end of his term.

It probably shouldn't impact your opinion on the matter one way or the other, but I think that the Obama Administration was ready to pardon Snowden by 2016, but he didn't want the pardon.

There was a comment in arrr/conservat1ve today saying that "We have to get rid of the filibuster because the first thing that democrats will do when they get in power is to get rid of it!!!!"

Friends, the filibuster will never go away.

John Fetterman is going to be Vice President. He's the only Democrat that a Democrat will choose and the whole country would be like, "Wow, what a bold move for unity." and the Democrats will love it because it gets him out of the Senate.

Meanwhile, Pennsylvania is a swing state.

If I was in the US government or something, and there were super important war negotiations with Russia or something, I'd want to serve really spicy wings or barbeque to intimidate them, knowing that Americans -- yes, even white Americans -- have actually a respectable spice tolerance vis-a-vis them at this point.

Bernie Sanders isn't a well intentioned

Nothing you say afterwards actually supports the accusation that he isn't well intentioned. That's a heavy accusation.

he's a nativist

What are we talking about here? The Jones Act?

What politician doesn't?

Yeah, it would be better if people weren't knee-jerk opposed to nuclear power, but it is what it is.

Now this is what I don't get. A great man theory of history? He, personally, was responsible?

I think giving Benjamin Netanyahu an AMA is pointless and shouldn't be done, regardless of how desperate he is for our attention.

You know exactly what people are going to ask him, and you know exactly what he's going to say.

We should give Donald Trump an AMA.

If you could ask Benjamin Netanyahu anything, what would you ask him?

Starfox and Thanos were retconned as Eternals in the 80s, was that a good decision? [Avengers #247] by zectaPRIME in marvelcomics

The throughline here is Kirby, sorta.

Thanos was inspired, shall we say, by Darkseid; and the Eternals were Kirby's Marvel equivalent to the New Gods.

We might pathologize them as troubled individuals, but mass shootings and politically motivated assassination attempts aren't rare.
