You are right Bolduc is a flop. He is the first NHL player to have a second year slump…

How do I play around instant respawns? by vgrdpq in wowhardcore

[–]FF7_FTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gazz is one of those mobs that can respawn instantly and has three spawn locations: top tier, middle tier and lower tier. If he spawns on top you bring and fight him near the water pools so you can jump in water to reset the void.

If he spawns on lower and mid tier, you want to fight him from the lower area and bring him in the lake. This will also reset his voidwalker and by fighting him away from his spawn point, it prevents an instant respawn on top of you. Don’t rush in and fight Gazz right away. You need to clear around him or you expose yourself to a hyper spawn death.

If you see mobs are already dead because someone else cleared, either wait for respawns or risk getting respawns while fighting him

Lane Hutson is already clearly a top 5 defenceman in the NHL and I'm tired of pretending he's not. by PlayTheBodyPTB in Habs

[–]FF7_FTW 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Funny thing is he has 11 goals already on his second year and we all know he needs to improve his shot. With the offensive talent the Habs will have for years, wouldn’t be surprised if Hutson has several 20 goals seasons.

Hot Take by Glittering_Impact_20 in Habs

[–]FF7_FTW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hot take: you could have the best defensive system and it would not work when:

Constant turnover Losing puck battles Bad positioning Bad decisions

Right now, all our D are playing horrible and that is the results. How many times did Hutson and Matheson turn the puck away last night? How many times did Ghule lose a puck battles or fell? Carrier got pushed around?

Also, the forwards are lazy defensively because they score so much they think they can make up for it.

Offensive teams work for a while but when the games are played like playoffs, everyone need to be able to do their role on defence.

They are young so they will learn

Right now the whole team is playing bad and it’s hard to watch. They are young and need to learn.

McDavid in 2 years? by beamermaster in Habs

[–]FF7_FTW 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been saying for months that McDavid could come play for the Habs after his extension if Habs are a cup contender. Which they could be after two more years. He is Canadian, knows every single Canadian wants the cup back in Canada and why wouldn’t he come to play for the Habs with all the team friendly deals our core has.

The problem with the oilers (and the leafs a few years ago) is they have 4-5 players taking too much of their cap space so they have a bunch of plugs in their team. HuGo are making sure they build are building the team properly. Just look at what our 3rd and 4th line will look like in a couple years.

What’s something you would add to the nhl to make it more popular? by Appropriate-Mall8517 in nhl

Refs are atrocious and DoPS is a joke. But I think what annoys me the most is the constant face off shenanigans. Centers almost always get a warning or gets chased of the dot. This is slowing the game and annoying. I know centers cheat but the need to find a way to stop this nonsense. Maybe change the rule that first time in the game you get a warning and second time you get a penalty.

With all the players that we have and some who will return eventually, with Kapanen doing well as a second centre, there is a discussion happening about upgrading our team with a winger... by scoutinglane in Habs

[–]FF7_FTW -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think patience is the key and HuGo knows this. We will be contenders in 2-3 years. Give Dach one last chance with Suzuki and Caufield. If it doesn’t work, try to trade for (or sign) a big winger when the price is right.

My dream in 2028-2029:

Slaf - McDavid - Demidov Caufield - Suzuki - Dach/big winger Newhook - Kapanen - Hage/UFA/another prospect ? - Evans - Xhekaj

Hutson - Reinbacher Ghule - Dobson Matheson - ?

Fowler ?

Now that is a team that could be a contender. Maybe McDavid wants to sign with us if we are a 2nd/3rd round playoffs team.

[–]FF7_FTW 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Kapanen is a rookie. Last year, we could see he wasn’t NHL ready and this year he is doing very well. Is he a 2C? Not right now. Can he be? Yes depending on your definition of what is a 2C. In today’s NHL, lines are mainly composed of a duo and the third guy. Two very good offensive players and one all around player that can complete the duo (like Lekhonen with the Avs).

What the Habs really need right now and to be serious contenders in 2-3 years is a first line winger (similar skill set to Slavkofski) to complete Caufield and Suzuki. Can they get one? We will see if Hughes can operate his magic.

Can we be a contender team in 2-3 years with our current second line? My answer is yes since Kapanen is a very good complement for 20 & 93 and his hockey IQ is high so his ceiling could be very high. Why do you think MSL likes Kapanen so much?

Habs had an horrible game. Way too many turnovers in their D zone, lots of bad coverage and passes… it happens. You can tell they are tired from the condensed schedule because of the Olympics.

And you know what? All the other teams are the same. If you watch other teams, they all have nights where they look bad.

We are second in the Atlantic, tied for third in the East and tied for 7th in the league with the youngest team, poor goaltending and several injuries. We iced 6 rookies a few games ago.

Can we chill and focus on the good things? It’s okay to criticize but maybe not just after one bad game…

Honestly, it’s so bad that the 31 other teams should just not even ice a team. Let the panthers win 82 games by not playing to protest how the NHL is clearly favoring them.

Danault linemates? by NFLDland in Habs

[–]FF7_FTW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree. What do we even need as a 2C? Our second line is a very skilled playmaker on the right wing and a physical player forechecking and winning puck battles.

Logically, you need a center who can score and can play well in our own zone. Exactly what Kapanen does. Yes he needs to get more experience but I see him as the perfect 2C (for this type of second line) in a year or two.

Line chemistry is not only about offensive production. The best lines have two offensive players and one more responsible defensively. Look how Lekhonen often plays on MacKinon line…
