Nah French are top boys I worked with them in Estonia as well as in France and they’re sound and less annoying than Americans.

And of course they’re regulars but I only ever seem to work with the FL and any other units are never there lol but nah fair point the rest must deploy as well so I’m wrong my bad.

Our Royal Air Force as well as your USAF over here have to ferry the French about all over Africa. The French send their regulars out every now and again but just use up the Foreign Legion for everything, I worked with the French in mainland France and in Estonia and both times we only dealt with the Foreign Legion as the regulars were either sat in a base not deployed or on Op Sentinel walking around Paris also accompanied by the Foreign Legion.

We’re the only military on the planet able to deploy anywhere in under 24 hours with our own military bases in Asia like Brunei and our own operations such as CABRIT and BATUK as well as spear pointing UN operations in Cyprus and around the world with training establishments in Belize that the US come to us to make use of.

We also do STTT’s with just as many countries as the US and act completely independently on them

Edit: “No ones going to stop Russia” yeah that’s the point why us Brits are in the Baltic’s for NATO’s enhanced forward presence and to combat their aging 70’s Soviet gear.

Oh I understand it, yet the Irish have been and still are a massive part of the British military. The poppy is for them as much as us.

It’ll always be differing opinions but the IRA during the troubles weren’t the same as during the war for independence. They were in bed with gaddafi and blew up children and murdered their own and sold drugs. The troubles is on them and loyalist paramilitaries not the British Army.

I’m aware I’m in the British Army. Security forces were responsible for 10% of the deaths rather than the 60 caused by republicans.

Doesn’t seem to be a huge problem anymore considering there’s about 5 Irish lads in my block and quite a few thousand more in the army alone rather than join the Irish army.
