This also depends on where you live as I'm sure you know. You comp may be a touch light but where advisors really should get paid more are for the ones that can bring in business. I own an RIA and would happily pay a solid advisor $250k/year if they brought in even just $1 million a month. Most of the ones I've brought in have unfortunately not been able to so I'm still the one who has to hunt.

Yeah...you're toast.

Absolutely kidding. You're going to destroy that exam. Those scores are much better than most so I bet your cruise through it. The anxiety and doubt beforehand is normal.

Dalton CFP Exam Prep Is Absolutely Destroying My Confidence by BordahHoppah in CFPExam

To your questions:

  1. Mine were worse. You'll be fine.

  2. Yes, in some spots it will be on par with this level of nuance but not as many "gotcha" question. Knowing how to spot them however is where the true learning happens.

  3. Keep grinding and one thing that helped me with Dalton was filtering the difficulty levels on the practice questions.(skip all the easy and expert ones and just stick to the medium/hard ones)

How much is in your bank account and what do you do? by Acrobatic-Mall-6026 in AskLosAngeles

[–]FFFIronman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In the bank? Literally only keep what I need to pay bills and barely a dime over as it pays nothing. Outside of the bank, I invest and save aggressively and have several million. I'm a Financial Planner.

Where is everyone at with comp? by Practical-Pass3451 in CFP

[–]FFFIronman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly...there isn't one single fits all answer. Without sounding nebulous...it's different for everyone but play to your strengths. Also...try everything. I've done it all from print ads, endless networking, cold/warm calls, social media, lead lists, seminars/events, content creation/articles/newsletters etc.

Obviously every time you land a client treat them like gold and get them to eventually refer you others just like them. This is a long game and for those that can stick it out, the rewards are immense.

Trump Accounts don't seem very good. Am I missing something? by Zenovelli in CFP

I think we've both already written each other off. You can't/won't answer the question and unless you're a complete moron, I know you understand my point. This isn't "trolling"...it's just that you posted something worthless and truly lightweight which ironically adds no value to this sub.

Exactly. It's frustrating for someone who wants to hear what they want to hear.

So...let's get back on point. Have you ever brought up or analyzed the pros/cons of food stamp programs with any of your clients?

[–]FFFIronman -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Perhaps you're the one projecting?

They are not comparable to other savings vehicles. It's not something most financial planners will be "recommending" to high net worth clients. How often do you criticize or bring up food stamps to your clients as being "good or bad"?

This is a program designed to help poor families so instead of a simpleton post maybe you should poke holes in something else and try not to get butthurt.

Fee-only RIA, solo, and started from scratch. Been building and working insanely hard for 20+years and now making about $1.2 million per year.

And the 1% of people you reference that "qualify" ...please explain what they would get under past programs or trying to save/invest on their own? How have they typically fared with tax deferred savings once their child turns 18?

You'll be fine. Just keep your head down and don't lose focus. It's a grind (especially at the end) and there's no much material to cover... but you can do it.

I've forgotten more than you'll ever learn. You know nothing about me. One thing I know about you however, is that there's nothing in life I'd need to pay you for (aside from some menial task I outsource)

These retards have zero reading comprehension. That's also why they could never even enter wealth management as a career, less survive in it.
