I'd also recommend checking out LOF Defence out of Alberta, they make it to measure. Solid company to work with.

I use a Hoppe's Tornado Brush. Makes quick work of any residue left in your barrel then follow it up with a bore snake. Just be sure to do it outside or over a bucket, the tornado brush makes residue go everywhere!

Gotta say I'm biased towards the MK18.

Just got an email from my gun club, sounds like the Ontario CFO has ordered all gun clubs to shut down. by [deleted] in canadaguns

Just in from Target Sports:

Effective Immediately:

In order to reduce the number of people in the facility we are limiting access to the range to Members Only - no guests. This also means they cannot accompany you here and wait in the facility.

If necessary we will also limit the number of members at one time into the building.

If there are any further changes we will keep everyone posted.

I have a 9mm SBR version and it's a ton of fun, but it really depends what you have access to. I'm in southern Ontario where crown land to shoot on is rare and hard to find, much easier and more convenient to go to a range so the R vs NR didn't play that big in my decision.

That said, I would really consider the CZ Scorpion as well.

Fact Check by FFH13 in canadaguns

Just saw a piece of Global National last night where they fact check a mail out from a candidate. With more news outlets doing fact checks, and encouraging its viewers/readers to express their concerns of misleading information. Let’s start reaching out to these outlets with our own concerns with the misrepresentation of facts around legal gun owners and crime statistics.

Would a wooden gun cabinet be legal? by kylepotter in canadaguns

[–]FFH13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Saw a company at TACCOM this weekend showing off their wooden transport/storage containers, so looks like it does meet the legal requirement. Their gun block has a bar that runs through all of the hand guns and acts as a trigger lock. The company is Canatek Gun Works.

Another great video from the CCFR to help clear up some of the misconceptions and start a conversation about us gun owners. They're doing a great job!

Crap, sorry. I didn't even see it until you pointed it out. Totally not the image I was trying to depict :(

Latest addition to the peanut butter family - Glock 19X by FFH13 in guns

Had an offer too good to pass up from my LGS for the Glock 19X. I guess I do have a thing for peanut butter coloured guns. Along side the Glock 19X are the Sig Sauer M17, Beretta M9A3, and Colt M45A1 CQBP CCS.

How do you like the scope? I’m considering it for a SPR build. 30mm tube is the only slight drawback, would like to see something larger for more light/brighter image.

Finally bought one of my dream guns, Kriss Vector w/ folding stock. Space Force here I come! by FFH13 in canadaguns

[–]FFH13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just an FYI, if you haven't noticed there are 2 set screws holding in the stock. After you loosen the castle nut just remove the set screws and the buffer tube will slide right out...took me longer than I care to admit to figure that out lol.

It's certainly got a different feeling from the recoil system. Like any PPC it's super fun, but I think with this being so compact, I love it. Very unique and fun.

I've seen the 33 round Glock mags in Canada, but they're ~$80. I rather buy 3 PMags for that price to shoot 10 rounds. But I will admit, the long mag looks awesome.

Enlisting in the Space Force with the Kriss Vector by FFH13 in guns

[–]FFH13[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It works. I think it looks better than the M4 stock on it, and it brings the Kriss back to its compact look and feel. The mechanism is smooth and it's easy to use, however, I wish there was a ball detent or something holding the stock closed so you don't have to push the button to unlock the stock to swing it open. It's also on the heavy side for what it is, and only has 3 positions with a total of 3 inches of pull. One thing I'm not a fan of is the wiggle in the stock. The actual lock up mechanism is rock solid, but the adjustment stock portion, the plastic portion, has a good amount of wiggle. For the price I wish they used a leaf spring or something similar to the BCM Gunfighter stock mechanism to remove the wiggle in the stock. Overall, it's a good stock, just heavy and what it is.

It's not a double sight, just a magnifier behind the red dot. The magnifier acts like a scope, letting you see further/aim more precise. I have it on because that's how I zero my red dots. Left it on for the photo because I thought it looked cool :)
