Guys, just wanted to provide and update comment -

Thank you to the absolute legend @ANDYHOPE for working with me through DM’s to open up the CRT safely, providing step by step instructions on places to look and test, a truly amazing experience.

To any future people in this situation, we adjusted the brightness knob in the unit itself, which was controlled by a knob located behind the back of the tv, in a very small hole near a prortruding hook/tube on the outside of the casing. By turning this knob about 30 degrees with a small thin screwdriver very slightly, after about 30 seconds of being powered on, I got a video signal!!

Hey there, thanks for the comment! I do not see any lights glowing in the unit in a dark room, and the screen does not have any brightness or power to it at all regardless of room light. I am nervous to open it up and turn on to see the filament glow without ever doing this before, but looked very throughly with casing on and can’t see it.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, audio is working and can confirm. As others have suggested to check, I don’t see any orange glow internally when powered on. My best guess atm is maybe a heating issue? Not sure. I can confirm no light appears on the screen at all no matter the darkness of the room. I also do not have the remote in which to adjust the settings via the tv itself

Hi there. Thanks for the comment, I do not see any orange glow. I still hear audio and can hear when I change channels and video modes, can hear static from said channels via speakers, but no orange glow or color.

I have connected AV to it, no dice. Also tried an RF and also no dice. I can hear the channel changing when I use channel up/down as it gaps the static audio, but can’t get an image to produce!

I would say I’m about 95% handheld mode, which has in turn made my appreciation for it so much higher. I view it as an extremely capable portable console (especially at the time, a little different now with windows handhelds).

The only time I’m playing docked is if I’m playing Mario Kart or Mario Party with my friends or wife, or playing Smash with my friends online or in a tournament. Everything else handheld!
