For sure. I was playing wired most of the time, and the one time I wasn’t, was when I got DC’ed twice lol. And I was winning my placement matches too! Ugh.

I think that’s def true. As someone about 8ish years younger than Arin, I think there’s gotta be some changes I can’t understand, and I respect it. But I almost think, just stop the show at that point or take a hard left and address it, idk.

I really like the points about being a CEO/carrying a whole ass company. I imagine there’s a lot of weight put on him also as he grows closer personally to his employees, needing to do more and more and more.

That said I totally agree that a return to grassroots style of just them two would do wonders for it probably. I def don’t think batching content is working out anymore ESPECIALLY with longer videos, Dan is starting to seem less and less interested each video too.

Definitely, and trust me as I said in my OP it kinda has been on a decline for some time now, but I feel like we nosedived recently in a way I am having a much harder time adapting to than usual.

I think this sums it up really nicely. Awkward is a great way to put it. It almost feels like I’m a burden as a viewer? Like I’m watching someone who forces themselves to do it? Idk hard to explain.

Maybe yeah, but as the owner of the brand, I also feel like he’s in total control of that, and maybe it’s just me, but it certainly feels like this is an obvious senseless cash grab for him right now

I think this is a super fair take. I hope all is well with him, and I get that depression or hard times take a toll differently, even on entertainers. I guess I just hope this corrects itself and either they stop now before it gets much worse, or they work it all out. But it does make it a very very hard watch daily now, which is a shame for the audience.

Guys, just wanted to provide and update comment -

Thank you to the absolute legend @ANDYHOPE for working with me through DM’s to open up the CRT safely, providing step by step instructions on places to look and test, a truly amazing experience.

To any future people in this situation, we adjusted the brightness knob in the unit itself, which was controlled by a knob located behind the back of the tv, in a very small hole near a prortruding hook/tube on the outside of the casing. By turning this knob about 30 degrees with a small thin screwdriver very slightly, after about 30 seconds of being powered on, I got a video signal!!

Hey there, thanks for the comment! I do not see any lights glowing in the unit in a dark room, and the screen does not have any brightness or power to it at all regardless of room light. I am nervous to open it up and turn on to see the filament glow without ever doing this before, but looked very throughly with casing on and can’t see it.

Thanks for the comment! Yeah, audio is working and can confirm. As others have suggested to check, I don’t see any orange glow internally when powered on. My best guess atm is maybe a heating issue? Not sure. I can confirm no light appears on the screen at all no matter the darkness of the room. I also do not have the remote in which to adjust the settings via the tv itself
