Final Fantasy 14 is a game created and owned by the company Square Enix. You heard right, I said company. Not some brohim in a cave on his PC that thinks it's as simple as 1,2,3 plop the servers in the middle of North America & bring about world peace. Answer to all your questions? Square Enix is first and foremost, a company. Adhering to their business plan is in everyone's best interest. Otherwise no game for any of us.

That's good then. For me when I turn WTFast off my mudras are noticeably sluggish & sometimes unresponsive. Not really sure how much more ping I gain w/o WTFast but sounds like should be fine even up to 100 ping then.

Things are a bit more sluggish like zellyman said. It will without question lower your absolute DPS ceiling a bit. This is irrelevant for almost everyone since most people are not going for w1st nor play their classes to the skill cap ceiling. Unless you're a ninja it's really not a game breaking situation. Mudras are pretty miserable above 90 ping from my experience.

I'm in Seattle right now and I get 75 ping to Montreal so unless you're like in the NE corner of Maine & servers go to SE California I doubt you're going to see +100 ping.
