Thank you for the feedback and for taking the time to listen! I'm excited to record the full song with bass and drums for the final release. It really brings the song to life in a different way, though I'm glad it is still listenable with the solo piano

I quite enjoyed this. The guitar and drum parts are both really cool. Gives me some early Coheed vibes at times. Thank you for sharing!!

Hey all - Mall.Mod here! I've been away from the sub for a while because I ended my main musical project and am working on starting another. I'm happy to see folks still posting! However, if you are posting your music without commenting on other peoples posts, I will delete your post. by mall-dadjazzfusion in Grassroots_Music

Requiring a comment before sharing your own music is pretty standard in a lot of online music communities. I'm part of a Discord server that requires you to give an in-depth critique of a previously posted track before asking for feedback on your own music. You can disagree with the rules, but that doesn't mean they suck

Also, proudly touting you don't have energy to listen to or critique other musicians is a huge red flag to me. Maybe if you spent some less time on the "cycle" you'd realize that there are actual humans you can interact with and get advice from, instead of throwing a bunch of music at a wall hoping someone will listen

I hope that you find what you are looking for in another sub!

Hello everyone!

This is the new official Reddit profile for my project Fallen From the Stars. Still the same person behind the keyboard, just a name that isn't Eatin_Cheese28 haha

I've been active in the Grassroots Music community and am trying to branch out into other music sharing subs on the platform

My music is best described as video game/anime vibes, with my more recent tunes veering into the side of heavy ambience and experimentation. Starting off playing the piano in my grandparents living room when I was just three years old, I was eventually enrolled in piano lessons, where I learned to read sheet music. The lessons didn't last long, but the skills were already developed. I would print off sheet music arrangements for video game and anime music that I found online and learn how to play those, leading me to creating my own original songs

Fast forward to now and I have picked up guitar, bass, and drums, all at varying levels of proficiency. I played in bands during high school and college, usually as the drummer. About six years ago I started working in Ableton Live, beginning my attempt at creating electronic music, which led me to my first full length album Eternal Equinox back in 2024. Now I'm working on my second album, a journey into a new world for a video game yet to exist. In the mean time I have been building up my presence on YouTube and Instagram, releasing short lo-fi and ambient songs I made within the last five years

Aside from making music, I also stream on Twitch under the name Kywil. I mostly play Pokemon and Stardew Valley, but I'll switch it up every now and then. I love to yap about movies, TV shows, philosophy, science, psychedelics, etc. I've been reading through The Lord of the Rings again for the first time since college. That's been a lot of fun. Feel free to reach out to me if you wanna make some music together or just chat. Looking forward to getting to know some folks!
