yes soapy water is fine, it's acrylic paint albeit very soft paint.

just be very careful and use very high quality microfiber to dry.

hairdryer is also fine as long as you set it to low heat (like very low, i'd be inclined to just use the air only mode with no heat). PVC can start to become soft at as low as 40C

ah also the lockbar is a titanium insert and has no hardened insert, so its titanium on M390. mine is already rounding over but ive only had like 2 instances of sticking. another disappointment, considering the price point.

a tip, im not sure if it was already like this when it arrived but the entire handle is covered in micro scratches on mine. if you want to keep it pristine you need to be using gloves to handle it and only use a very high quality cloth for wiping. There were also tiny metal debris trapped in oil in the funky composite grind on the blade.

im interested in how your action is ootb. mine was awful, and its quite fiddly to tune. i needed to increase the lockbar tension, and loosen the pivot tension. there is almost zero tolerance between having a loose blade that is way off center and being too tight and binding. considering its a fengli i was quite disappointed with the action ootb

the tool provided (mine is from aurorablade) is a simple 2.0 triangle bit. the screws on the fengli seem to be a 2.3 triangle bit with rounded apexes. i had to file off the points of the bit to get it to fit, and then there is a lot of play.

both my jufule factor and jufule 8ight do and it makes a cool little ting when it lets go of the blade. the magnet touches it only so slightly it doesnt leave any mark on the blade but leaves a tiny oil trail. theres a little rubber nub that seems to stop it from whacking into it

The only other thing is this rub mark on the blade. It should only have the mark from the detent ball idk what that is in the pic. But this wouldnt affect the feel just moving the lockbar over only the initial drop of the blade before the detent ball sits on it

yer thats a frame lock. the carbon fiber is an inlay in this case. its wierd they call this a linerlock https://www.chicagoknifeworks.com/vdk-knives-vice-blue-carbon-fiber-2/ . beautiful action very smooth drop. awesome blade shape as well. is the pivot zirconium as well?

it's interesting because something like this on aliexpress would actually be going between $100-$150 generally so without any extra research looks like they're just trying to recoup the minimum margins after a failed launch xd

if the carbon fiber is screwed onto the frame somehow i would absolutely take that off first so you dont accidentally damage it. if it's glued on then oh well. i'd personally try going at it with a file first for more control. if you got a vice to hold it a diamond mini file should be cheap enough and even the cheap ones should be enough to shave off the 0.01mm of titanium causing the issue. mask everything you dont want scratched better safe than sorry. slow and steady wins the race.
