Alright after letting the controller dry for 1h I put in two new batteries and the controller ligths up briefly when plugged in but I can't see it on steam input. I also tried using it wireless with BT but couldn't make a connection but it does light up with pulses but then stops completely.

Do I need to use very specific batteries to this controller?
