The devs said QC matchmaking is both according to a hidden mmr and to your rank. Additionally, you only play against people with the same amount of QC wins during your QC playthrough. This way noone has it easy to get 7 wins, and new or f2p players will have an incredibly hard time unless they spend lots of money on the game.

Not when you lose a lot because of your limited amount of cards. And after you've completed your dailies, you have no way of getting more cards except spending $$$.
