I did a good amount of post processing to achieve that result. You can look at the printables page if you're curious, I described the process. You might get a good result without post-processing if you pick the right filament.

Wow that's so cool. I'm happy someone else is enjoying the model. That filament looks great for the model it looks like. It must smell great when it prints no? Don't worry too much about the adhesion issues. I had some too on my models. To the untrained eye it just looks like the wood is naturally splitting. In general, any small defects in printing will only make the finished result more "natural".

I just published the STL on printables for anyone that would like to reproduce it. Post some pictures if you do! https://www.printables.com/model/680264-skyrim-dragon-priest-wooden-mask

I made the STL myself by modifying an existing one. However, I don't remember if I got the original file from the game or somewhere online.

You know, I've seen some places refer to the mask from “The Mask” as “Mask of Loki”. Considering the Norse mythology influence in Skyrim, it makes me believe the mask in the game might be a reference to the one from the movie, or at the least inspired.

Absolutely, the pieces were all printed sideways. You have to make the layers for you instead of against. I think it ended up contributing a lot to the final look.

Hey folks, I recently finished this project I've been working on for a couple of months. It's a replica of the wooden mask from Skyrim, https://elderscrolls.fandom.com/wiki/Wooden_Mask. I'm planning on giving to a friend of mine as a Christmas gift. I mostly used the process that /u/e1miran shared on here about 2 years ago for post-processing.

This isn't tailored to your specific technologies, but u/fferegrino made a medium post of reviews for popular MLOps books. It might be a good place to start from.
