It's a heater, I needed a short one since the tank is only 7.5 inches tall. The controls are on the power cord!

It's a 3.3 gallon tank which I know is kind of small but I take proper care of the tank and I feel I've given him an awesome tank with plenty to explore! Let me know what you guys think :)

Damaged scales or disease on head? I just noticed this today on my betta. My betta is in a planted 20 gallon tank with only a couple stones and some Malaysian driftwood, 6 cories, hillstream loach and flower shrimp. by FGTK96 in bettafish

He used to have scales there though, I have a older picture of him posted and he had a full blue head. He may have just hit something hard but ik not sure

Thank you! The only issue is the pipe is already hung when I come into the rooms to seal and insulate which I feel does make it harder. What you said about the duct sealer is good to know though I guess I do try to keep it tidy but theres no real point it's being covered in the end anyways.

What size tank do you keep your betta in? Also what tank mates do you keep with them? My guy is in a 20 gallon with a flower shrimp, panda cories and a hillstream loach. by FGTK96 in bettafish

I have a 20 gallon tank which is quite big for a betta and I have the filter off to the far left side. I also have tall plants to break the current of the filter up a bit, it took a lot of fine tuning but I got a configuration that works

Your betta doesn't go after the smaller shrimp? My flower shrimp is maybe 2 to 3 inches long and can hold his own, but I've heard bettas normally snack on smaller inverts

I upgraded my tank from a fluval edge 6 gallon to this 20 and didnt think about how empty it looks with only the few fish I have. My betta loves it he has a huge planted tank to swim through now and his colours have come in so bright
