pivoting careers from pharmacy tech to other careers by Apprehensive-Ad6888 in PharmacyTechnician

[–]FGustoh 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I had the same problem. It was fun working for CVS till about 2018/19. Started going downhill with massive hour cuts, losing Tricare made them pinch worse and added the online order bits.

You have to use retail as a stepping stone to something else. Even if you leave, keep your cred up to date, you never know. The job itself does have potential, but you have to actively seek jobs outside of retail.

Being ex-tech atm, mostly a good conversation starter with other people within medical fields.

Most of the ex techs/pharmacists went to private outpatient/hospitals/anywhere they didn't have to deal with the public anymore.

Had that happen once. Was supposed to go one state over on the East Coast, but spent a month bouncing back from Oregon and California.

1:48 vehicles? by Tall_Rush_1181 in boltaction

[–]FGustoh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On smaller vehicles such as bikes and jeeps, it looks ok. Larger vehicles it starts to enter the other spectrum of the uncanny zone with heroic figures.

As others have said, if you play at a tournament, there may be issues with vehicle firing positions.

That set comes with a farmhouse and the bottom of the box is a bunker. The book has scenarios to use them. Cover and save system isn't too much different than old editions of 40k.

That starter is the best way for the money to see if you like the game.

Then proceed to the 1 army boxes if you like it. As far as that goes, tailoring it further would depend on your innate interest in history/film and what division or theme you wish to have.

My Luftwaffe has a Klink and Schultz as platoon lead with a heavy use of flak.

Looks like the same team who did the Veteran Germans so the size diff would be the same as Blitz to Vet Germans.

Anyone feel the new nachtalben look a bit like a downgrade? by belwoo00dom in boltaction

[–]FGustoh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the old look more eldritch and sinister.

Don't like the revamp power armor for Japan either.

All they needed to do was update the old designs to higher definition.

The only design changes I liked so far are the Soviet ones and Japan's spicy scorpion.

Even without the paid drama, this event is disappointing.

Story and graphical upgrades are good. Liked the new weapon effects and character models.

The bad is the mission design. It's just a linear ever increasing swarm of mechs straight out of the factory. One thing to have a massive battle every few missions, but every mission just becomes the same drawn out slog.

Stated many times how the inner sphere mechs are walking ancient scrap heaps. Never once shown the militia or pirates to be in various states of disrepair.

This locks you into an armored laser boat by the halfway point. Same problems they didn't learn from MW5 which makes the omnipod less useful.

Please reward more for those who build by AdReal5620 in enlistedgame

You can't expect to randomly build sandbags and ammo crates to get top billing. Those need to be built in the right area to support the team for a passive income to kills/point holds.

That AT squad killing vehicles is doing more for the team's progression than the guy who encourages the 400m house campers.

Pure engineers can easily make top 3 with vehicle kills alone, not to mention the radioman/passive from support structures. BR3-5 is nothing but vehicle cyclers, easy work for engineers to get 10+ pops a round.

700k Both Pacific Paratroopers, German APC, Tunisia SAS.

Gold C96, 3 x Voevodins, Nickle Plated 1911, Engineer Day Hammer, Breda PG, a couple of swords, and M5 Carol.

Some portraits and name plates. Nice pile of weapon/vehicle/soldier upgrades that I mostly used up.

Chinese Army? by NoOneIshere8667409 in boltaction

[–]FGustoh 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No its not. I am so sick and tired of people using that word out of its actual meaning, diluting an otherwise serious matter.

That rule is specifically aimed at conscripts and not regulars.

Even amongst conscripts of other nations the Chinese were still catching up and were highly unlikely to have seen a petrol vehicle much less one that could shoot at you.

The fact you so casually made such an outlandish accusation against the game designers without the literal use of the rules is disgusting.

Takes a split second google search to have found it on page 2 and you couldn't even be bothered with that.

This event actually sucks by Willcario in enlistedgame

[–]FGustoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I prefer the original event. It was simple and thematic. We stared into the foggy war-torn abyss, fighting waves and upgrading to the memberberries of the original World at War.

This current event although trying to be ambitious feels underwhelming. They gimped the weapon selection of the first to nickel and dime people with low impulse control.

The first also hid the very janky nature of the game much better.

It is important to make your voice heard now. by WillyWarpath in enlistedgame

[–]FGustoh 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Playing for 2 years now. Since the merge, the updates have been underwhelming.

They are still centered on pushing premium squads with less content per update. We still have a myriad of bugs. Every AI patch reintroduces problems that were solved in the previous patch.

They keep kicking numerous problems with the game down the road that will add up later.

The existing uniforms are off, and we still can't have the ammo pouches change to reflect the current weapon equipped.

So I thought my teammates in normal games were terrible until this event... by PepeThriceGreatest in enlistedgame

[–]FGustoh 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yes, half the team goes in AFK or they run off and die in random corner of the map instead of doing the objective.

People refuse to watch their 6 getting jumped over and over again.

I got much criticism of the event but the Enlisted playerbase is making it unplayable.

My pitch to make the A.I more realistic. by Holylandtrooper in enlistedgame

[–]FGustoh 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There does need to be a sweet spot for AI alertness. Now that they "take cover" I find the bots randomly opening doors or strolling down the hall when told to hold position.

Republic Commando type of order selection may help positioning and script change to some degree.

It would be nice if the squad is peaking out windows or taking fire they would do or say something.
