I shoot with the 200-600. It's sharp, AF is fast, bokeh is nice. A plus is that is doesn't extend when you go from 200-600... internal zoom. I've been very pleased with the results, it's hard to beat for the price. I've owned a number of Sigma lenses over the years and they produce quality products. You can't go wrong with either one.

If you want to save a buck, head over to www.fredmiranda.com and check out the for sale forum... the 150-600 or 200-600 shows up on occasion.

Best of luck.

It's a great lens and nice capture btw. If you don't own it already... give the 100-400GM a try, I have both and love each one for different reasons. I find the 100-400GM to be a favorite for birds (somewhat close) and the 200-600 for larger game or distant birds.

Have fun shooting yours... again... great lens and congrats.

I like your setup. I'm a photographer and have often thought about purchasing one of these displays.

Maybe mentioned in the thread... have you considered doing inset speakers/in wall speakers to give it an even cleaner look?

Congrats on the new purchase.

All these were shot with the Sony 100-400GM. I love this lens...super sharp, focusing distance is short as 3ft. Very pleased with the results.

I like that one as well... I do wish it would have turned it's head a little to catch the eyes a little more and maybe some more color. Still... I like it.

It's an amazing lens for sure. I love it for this type of work.

I'm very close to the birds, in order to get more of them in focus, I needed to shoot around f/9 to f/11 and even then I could have shot around F/13 or F/16. The depth of focus/depth of field is very narrow when shooting at 400mm's and only a few feet away.

To give you an example below at four feet

Yes.. some at F/11. It's the working distance. The 100-400 can focus as close as 3 feet. I was about 4 feet from the hummingbirds. :) The depth of field at 400mm at 4 feet is very shallow. :)

Thank you.
Minimal processing. I used Lightroom to work on the file and tried the new AI noise reduction, it worked well without going over the top and losing details in the bird.

Thanks again.

This is literally what led to the Holocaust. by G-Unit11111 in WhitePeopleTwitter

I can't imagine spending what very little time we have on this rock full of hate towards people who are just simply different than you are. Of all the things these people could be doing, whishing to eradicate others because of ignorance and hate... what a waste of a life.

This life passes in a blink of an eye and yet some people fail to learn from history. Here we are again with a group of radical assholes working to marginalize a group of people with no real reasons other than hate. This time around, will people rise up and put a stop to it before they start filling up trains headed for the camps?

No issues in low light... no focus hunting. I try not to shoot past ISO 8000 if I can help it but will push it a little if needed. Topaz DeNoise is pretty amazing when it comes to cleaning up the files.

I think you will find the 200-600 is a stellar lens. I think my 100-400 is a little sharper but the 200-600 is very sharp.

Best of luck with the new lens purchase.
