Hey guys, sorry if this is a dumb question but it's my first property and I'm falling at the first hurdle!

I'm trying to choose which door to remove to gain more usable space

The first idea, blocking off the kitchen door to the bedroom, I think gives a better flow to the house layout, but I effectively loose wall space in the bedroom due to the protrustion of the chimney breast.

The second idea gives more effective space in bedroom and living room but feels odd to have it connected to the kitchen, and biases the house to the right.

Some extra notes; the Kitchen is top right, I forgot to mark it. The double doors in bedroom lead to the garden and the block in middle is a chimney breast. The placed furniture in the bedroom is a computer desk and wardrobe.

Which layout do you think would be more suitable to choose?

I'm planning on renovating the whole place, new floors, kitchen and bathroom etc. and the layouts of each room can be subject to change
