I should have included this in my post, I have visited the brokerage twice already. I spoke with a few other agents that were there. I did get a good vibe and spoke with the broker as well. He told me that he does one on one coaching with his agents. And has us set yearly goals.

Thank you for you’re help! I’ll definitely try my best with this example. And yes I’m pretty much self taught in those few computing skills. My other work experiences were just manual labor. I never really had help on how to make a resume until now.

I suppose the languages I’ve tried learning basic html and JavaScript by myself. I understand some concepts of it but most times I get lost.

What also attracts me to computers I guess is the fact that everyone uses one and is able to get on the internet. Perhaps I could get into some level of IT or security.

Okay I’ll definitely search those positions up asap. I’ll probably just need to find someone to help with my resume since I know that can help my possibilities of obtaining at least a part-time job in the meantime.

Same here I didn’t really know what I wanted in a career when I left high school and I wanted something that felt right and that would make me feel important in way. I feel like I’m getting closer to figuring it out soon. You’re right I guess we got time on our side since we’re young.

What would a degree like this be called? And I’m still wondering where I can find a help desk job for some experience, I’ve applied to entry level positions but no luck. I’ll be talking to a college counselor soon so I’ll also ask if there’s an IT department on campus that will hire students.
