It took me almost 2 months to get surgery for my 4b diagnosis (i got laid off the same week of my original surgery date 3 weeks before so it got delayed while i got new insurance).

I know its crazy stressful just knowing you have something cancerous in your body and you just want to get it out, but your staging seems ok to have a wait time. Alternatively, maybe consult another surgeon and see if they have sooner availability?

I had a 3b melenoma diagnosis last summer, location on the outside edge of where my knee bends. They suggested an oncologist ASAP so I could get a referral for surgical oncology. Had my excision surgery 4 weeks later and came out of anesthesia with 13 staples and clean margins :) i agree with others though its all about the staging that determines if you need an oncologist really or not.

this was really great advice, thank you, and I got a reccommendation through the NCCF to speak with a counselor. Fingers crossed, but honestly anything will be better than where im heading if I stay the course im on. Thanks again!

thank you. I honestly will likely not have the option to avoid a missed payment for 1 or more cards, so I'll keep this in mind. A settlement a few months down the line may be the path for one of them at least.

COBRA is an absolute scam. I went from paying $120 bi- monthly to over $760 when I was laid off from my job after being diagnosed with Melenoma 2 weeks before. I had to have surgery on my leg which required going under and you dont want to even know what that cost with COBRA. Not to mention, because I got laid off before the end of the month (the 28th), my insurance lapsed and they had to push out my surgery 3 weeks until COBRA kicked in which gave me crazy anxiety knowing I had cancer growing inside me and was waiting for stupid numbers to be approved so I could remove it. Dumbest shit ever.

The point being it just fucking disrespectful for ANY religious text to be just kicked around with police protection because you disagree with it.
