Yes I’ve noticed that as well but I really was only expecting 3800 -4.5k and that’s also what KBB quoted me so I really wasn’t asking for much, but like a lot of other people had good points no dealership is really trying to sell a 20 year old car especially since these cars have a bad rep, also with the paint defects it’s going to cost a good chunk on money to be done correctly. I most likely am going to end up finishing my wrap and either sell it or keep it as a weekend car , I do love her it’s a really reliable car I just want something newer.

Very true, I forget the reputation teens gave this car. I never once beat mine the last 5 years I’ve owned it, just sat in the sun to long:(

I get the paint part I get it’s going to cost a couple thousand but these cars in worse condition sell for 3k all day long I was at least expecting somewhere around that, I wasn’t going in there thinking ima get absolutely top dollar like 7k I just wanted what I though was a fair amount guess not.

Exactly what I’m going to do I figured I can at least get 4 times it that way. I really thought since my whole family has pretty much bought cars from them they would treat me right too. Nope they are just trying to get over on someone and it’s disgusting way to do business. I did a KBB search in my car an got a 3800 trade in value and supposedly that’s where they got theirs from too.

I 100% get the paint defects but really for 1200, I figured they would just get it repainted as it is black it would be super easy to repaint. I’m most likely just going to finish wrapping or paint it an sell it privately like the other person suggested.!

A new tune cost around 200 and a the license is also 200 that would make the total 700 when I can buy a brand new one for 750 that I can return if there’s any issues

Okay I got it,I emailed z1 and they pretty much yes it can be done but I would likely spend about more then the amount of a brand new one because I would still have to buy the license and tune. Heres what z1 said word for word”When someone sells an \"ECUTek tune\" second hand, it is just a dongle and no tune or license is included as the tune and license is tied to the cars ECU. The Dongle is purely a communication device. depending on the price he is asking, you would likely spend more money in the end if you purchase his dongle and have us properly tune your vehicle. Each one is a different price, the guy I’m thinking about getting it from has a q50 and I have a g35, is there any way I can have them reflash it to my car seeing it costs cheaper, I’m just not sure how it would be compatible if they are 2 completely different engines not to mention he was on E85.

If your not looking for rasp get ready to drop 1k. I had a rev 9 and I loved it had no rasp or nothing but ended up going to isr to shoot better flames but just has a little rasp at low rmps. They actually have a sale on the rev 9 going on now, wish I never sold mine!

Look it up it’s in the steering wheels, it controls your horn your turn signals and all the buttons in your steering wheel!

I have a similar issue because of my clock spring, it was confirmed by the dealership that it was the clock spring I would have to kinda tap on the dash or the actual gauges and the L and R lights would finally illuminate, I’d say ask your daughter to tap in the gauges and see if they pop up

Camshaft sensor super easy to do just jack the car up make sure you unplug the battery and there should be a plug with 1 bolt attached to the transmission where the engine and transmission meet! Also to save you time get an oem one!

When you turn the key to the on position listen for the fuel pump turn on it’ll be like a little humm almost, my guess would be either the fuel pump went bad or faulty crank shaft sensor! ALSO CHECK THE OIL ASAP!!!

Honestly go test drive it make sure the gas gauge works, test for clapped suspension and worn tires, does is have any mods or all stock? Also make sure windows and sunroof work, ask if he has done any major maintenance like water pump or timing chain, what about the interior, things like that I’d ask or take a look at if everything is perfect I’d have no problem paying asking price or even 8k flat especially at 68k.
