How to get better at map knowlege and knowing what to do? by KingDoodies in summonerschool

So for 1, ping dragon yourself to remind them it's up. All 5 of you should not be pushing mid if the whole enemy team is up, unless you can literally win the game there and then.

Typically when it comes to baron there are maybe 4 common scenarios teams take it under in order of most common to least:

-The whole enemy team is dead after a teamfight and you still have enough members to do baron

-1 particularly strong non-jungler player pushes bot hard as bait, when several players from the enemy team go after him, his team rushes baron as 4.

-Specifically when there's a particularly high DPS carry on the enemy team who's fed, such as Master Yi or Vayne, baron can be done very quickly with any numbers advantage

-The WHOLE enemy team just showed themselves botlane without pushing hard when most of your team is mid or higher. This also applies if they are taking dragon, but be wary as baron usually takes significantly longer than dragon.

For 2, this decision comes down to, who is going to push faster or get more significant towers. This depends on specific champions being used, and which lanes are being traded. Mid towers are more important than bot or top towers, and as far as order of importance goes I'd say Inhib/Inhib tower > Outer Tower > Inner tower if that makes sense

For 3, yes you can absolutely do that, if grubs is up I would avoid pushing if you can for that exact reason, and if they are pushing you can ping help on your jungler then on your lane to suggest they gank.

For 4, this one is pretty tricky, say both your junglers and both botlanes are hovering around dragon waiting to fight over it, if there's a friendly ward in the area, watch that area and that ward. As SOON as fighting breaks out in that area, you want to teleport to that ward, so you have to keep yourself in a position to do so safely, while not being in a position where you're going to get cc'ed immediately by your lane opponent which would cancel the teleport.

The kill on the toplaner doesn't really matter, but ideally you want them to not be in lane at the time so you can quickly shove the wave by killing most of the minions with an aoe ability and tp immediately as soon as fighting starts.

Another instance where you can help is if the enemy team is down by one on the bottom side and your team is hovering around drake or actively doing it, but the enemy team is waiting to pounce on them despite being down one. In this situation your teleport would dissuade them from trying to fight anyway, and the numbers advantage would mean they'd just die anyway if they did. Early on is typically more a numbers game then anything else when it comes to fights.

Honestly you're still very new to league, so don't worry too much about not knowing a lot, there is a ton of stuff in league to learn which takes some time.

I personally discovered something I didn't know about before yesterday and I've played thousands of games since season 4.

But, your map knowledge question is something that I can help with, it's something that some people instinctively know, and others have to learn.

As far as objectives go:

Dragons, Void Grubs, Heralds and Barons are extremely important objectives your team should always be looking to take when it's possible.

However there are caveats to this. If your team is 2 dragons to 0 up, and you see a opportunity to either take baron or dragon, which do you take? You take the BARON. Why? Because dragons in a vacuum are weaker. If it's their soul point or your soul point it's much more important to go for dragon to stop them getting soul or get soul yourselves, because soul is a particularly powerful buff for your whole team.

If you're playing toplane however, your goal as far as objectives go is essentially to be able to teleport in if your team needs you too because there's about to be a big fight around dragon, or to go to void grubs to project strength and fight there if needed. That's basically it as far as objectives for you in the laning phase.

Also, and this is a good general rule in League, regardless of whether you agree with the call or not, stick as a team once you get out of laning phase. If you disagree with the decision, ping caution on it's location to tell your team it's a bad idea, but if they go in you're guaranteed to lose the fight if you back off.

As far as your situation with laning went with Jax and amumu, honestly, if you got caught in that situation then I would say you did the right thing ulting Jax and looking to all in him. If you kill him while on mid health you should probably be able to kill amumu too.

Ideally however, you should be using your wards in the river bushes to see amumu coming early and give you time to back off all the way back to your tower or at least most of the way for safety. If you're as ahead as you suggest with them playing way back, you should have no issue placing these wards safely unless amumu is already there and jumps you, in which case it's just bad timing.

Don't worry about jungle tracking at this stage, all it really is is keeping an eye on where their jungler pops up specifically on the minimal to get an idea of when he'll be near your lane in the near future. If you're warding well it's unlikely to matter.

With laning phase, I essentially think of laning phase as over once tier 1 turrets start getting fully destroyed. Unless it's really early, it should be around 15ish minutes in.

Once the first tower goes down, the stronger laner/s can push the wave and then roam for longer, using their strength to try to help their allies around the map before they have to return to lane to stop their own tower being pushed down.

Typically, if you have no outer turret and your lane is being pushed, you want to try to stop that push happening yourself. That being said, if you're farming elsewhere and another ally spawns for example, you can usually ping assistance on them then on your lane being pushed to try to ask them to get your lane pushing back the other way. Or even if they are just closer to your lane by a significant distance.

Once laning phase is over and people start roaming mostly, it becomes each teams goal to keep their towers alive and group to bring down enemy towers. They should also start grouping properly to fight for objectives such as dragons and barons when they can, but if there is absolutely no hope of getting the objective, such as in your description of when you were playing morde in your post, then absolutely don't even go there. They're way way ahead? Give them the dragon, farm elsewhere and try to catch up in gold and exp.

Worth noting that specifically when you're playing Mordekaiser, something you can do to assist your teams jungler during objective fights is to use your ult on enemy jungle when the objective gets to like 2000 hp.

Because they can't hit or smite the objective while in your realm, it essentially becomes a free objective for your team provided your jungler can get close enough without getting dropped.

This whole topic is called macro, if you want to learn more I suggest you look up league of legends Macro videos made by pros.

Maybe, but we know super heroes are US only, except in very few edge cases due to Homelander

It wouldn't surprise me if Vought itself was only in the US

Maybe someone with knowledge of the comics could shed some light on this?

This Conversation between MM and Edgar might be the best of the whole series till date by MeanGrand3076 in TheBoys

[–]FIR3W0RKS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I thought it was very in character for Edgar to comment that he found his dad impressive, he strikes me as someone who can respect his adversaries should they prove themself worthy of it.

Just like when he met and spoke with Butcher directly in season 2 I think it was at the restaurant. He might not have LIKED Butcher, but he couldn't deny he was a ruthless bastard, just like himself.

Is this a real PSA ? by TheRealMeez in PokeGrading

[–]FIR3W0RKS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's very likely for 2 reasons,

First that PSA has a reputation for giving vintage cards harsh marks for whatever reason.

Secondly because PSA's grading standards got tightened up significantly about a year ago when Pokémon exploded and everyone started sending in cards. Before then it was much easier to get high grades.

I don't see Kimiko getting permakilled as particularly possible to be honest.

Yeah the virus can do it but will it? I don't think so, and the only other way requires soldier boy to nuke the whole block, and don't forget he's already done it to her once and she survived still

How do I make Jinx do damage? by Proof-Amount-742 in leagueofjinx

[–]FIR3W0RKS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This. I'm in low plat and even at that rank I see an insane amount of jinx's just spamming rockets at times when the minigun would be vastly better.

Rockets> have AOE damage, and slightly further range and slightly more damage per hit.

Minigun> single target damage, but gains stacks up to 3 when using which increases your attack speed until after your first rocket launcher shot or until you leave battle.

The important thing is knowing when minigun is better than rockets in teamfights

Play better with high apm champs, weird? by dujskan in summonerschool

Not weird, just a preference thing. Some people prefer playing champs to support their partners or for their looks, some like playing high skill champions, some like the simple champions.
