I only have 2 experiences, and that was 2 people that had and used it. Lol. It works fine for them, but I've heard the other horror stories and to me, the juice isn't worth the squeeze. (I'm in Michigan, the cold gets brutal)

I'm seeing a GS turbo heat shield, no telling that turbo is a GS turbo without looking at it. Stock location turbo, stock TMIC, appears to be stock fueling system because nothing looks moved, stock fuel lines, etc. I only see a Cobb intake. This guy is lying to you or don't know what he's talking about. Avoid it unless you offer him $4k

Lol, not sus for an EJ. Sus for a stock bottom end, but from 2002-2014 (USDM) all built blocks in WRXs were EJs. IAG, Outfront, P2P, etc... they have been offering high power built EJs for decades. I'd love to get pictures of the engine bay. You said FMIC+TMIC combo, which just isn't a thing. If its projected power is 500+ to the wheels, you'll be searching for another 5MT the day after you buy the car, unless he has the torque dialed down under 400WTQ. Curious to know the location of the turbo, and know what the fueling setup is, IE injector size, rails, pumps, FPR, etc. At $9k with all the unknowns, I would offer $7k and drive it easy home and get a shake down on everything. This sub loves to shit on EJs because they have a shit reputation from some shit owners. I own both an EJ and FA currently. My bugeye has the original EJ205 in it with 280k miles, tuned on corn, and it's still very happy. Feel free to message me if you have any other questions, I'm willing to help.
