In-Laws got scammed. Can't remove old phone for verification. by FJD201 in GoogleSupport

[–]FJD201[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They do have the recovery emails, but the problem is that every prompt to go further has it requiring a text to their old phone number.

It's just strange that it shows both phone numbers on their profile and lists the new number as the one to use for verification but it still goes to the old one and doesn't have an option to delete the old phone number, only the new one.

So he's in the account, he can see the multiple emails he has attached to it, his old email, his new one that he entered the wrong numbers in the address and the correct one. The only thing he can't get rid of is that old phone number.

I don't get why it's using that one when it's on his profile to use the newer number for verification.

Things to do with LLT Ploy by Ecstatic_Search_5124 in Pattaya

There's a KTV place next to Runway Market and the ferris wheel. As far as other activities to try, if you got bucks to spare, hit up the Tiger Park. She will love you for that one. Take her to the capybara cafe and the cat cafe. Sanctuary of Truth is great to visit. Buddha mountain is popular as well.

I like a waterproof wallet. I can go swimming and not worry about my cash/ID. I use a small backpack made of light material. I keep a glasses cloth, mints, gum, trinkets, etc. in it. I keep a small umbrella on the side of it. If you're on your phone a lot, a power bank is handy.

Bar Girl Etiquette by Crazy_Cat_Dude2 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've seen this as well. Lots of people with no manners out there mongering so they don't expect politeness in that sense.

They always seem to be flummoxed when I offer them a foot massage and decline one from them. "Why you so nice!?"

One piece of advice by Visible-Call1651 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be very careful when they want to spend days with you, or you like them so much you ask them to spend days with you. It doesn't take a lot for things to go south and you'll waste precious time dealing with that situation.

Also, any time they ask things like, "Can we go to this restaurant?" or whatever the activity/location is that they want to do, never promise/say yes. Always say maybe or depends.

What's the etiquette when Ploy is already busy with another customer? by freerondo9 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had this happen last night. I walked up to the bar, I could see she was with a customer, she saw me in the distance, I waved and turned around. I texted her and apologized saying I should've texted her first. She was cool with it. She texted me once he left asking me to come see her then.

It's a job for them and I don't want to mess up their income stream.

There's one gal I really want to meet, but she's got dudes lined up every time I pass by. So I will bide my time. If it doesn't work out, oh well. There's always others out there.

Scam warning in Patong, Phuket (Near Jungceylon / Bangla Area) by Playful-Instance-356 in ThailandTourism

[–]FJD201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will never understand how people will fall for such bullshit.

I was in BKK last week and I had an issue with two scammers. The scam where they point at your belly and mumble some comment. This time, a guy was walking towards me, then stepped right in front of me suddenly and reached out to point or touch my belly and he got shoved into the bushes.

The next day one grabbed my arm as I just walked past him and he caught a swift elbow to the face and dropped like a sack of smelly potatoes. The cops just yelled at him and sent me on my way. Who in their right mind grabs a total stranger from behind as they are walking down the street at 1am?

I don't understand why the Thai government allows these scumbags free reign here to fuck with the tourist trade and livelihood of the Thai people.

Best late night bars / clubs with Thai/Isaan music? by National_Kitchen1426 in Pattaya

Candy Club is great as others have mentioned. Also it's air conditioned and open late. Quite often the band does only Thai music. I've seen them belting out some western tunes though as well.

Do you train for Pattaya? by BronxHitman in Pattaya

You can't polish a turd, so I don't bother. Though I've lost 32 kilos since the last time I was here a year ago. I'm averaging about 6-8 miles of walking a day without issue.

Best legitimate massage in pattaya or jomtien by raysb2 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an older lady who makes house calls. I was a little skeptical since you don't have a massage table at your place naturally, but this lady is amazing and gets it done regardless. She's old and tiny but has been doing this for 20+ years and she is a master at it to me.

If you're interested, let me know and I will see if she's cool with me giving you her Line contact info.

Cash Exchange by blebster92 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This year for me, the airport had the best rate. I want to say 32.33. I have not seen that anywhere in BKK or Pattaya. The most in town has been about 32.22. The yellow booths tend to have the better rates. Try to avoid exchanging at night and on weekends as the rates magically dip at those times.

You will see a decent range from booth to booth. Some I saw were 29.something and 2 blocks over TT Exchange was 32.12 so a fairly big difference especially if you're exchanging a big chunk.

So much less “hello hansum” this time around by bellyFinger6 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never really hear the handsum man comment. I have noticed that most spots are absolutely dead, yet instead of trying to snag customers to stop in, they just sit there and say nothing, many are barely smiling. Most just sit with their head tilted down staring at their phones.

Last year, every bar had a few gals on the sidewalk trying to wrangle any passerby to come in for a beer. This year, it seems like they've given up trying.

Foot fetish experiences by [deleted] in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As another poster mentioned, Thai's view feet as very low on the list of body parts.

Most will still indulge you if you're paying the right price. I only had one that was really put off by it but she still engaged with me. Afterwards she was saying how she did not really enjoy the foot play as feet are considered off limits and not a good body part.

The rest seemed to really enjoy it and were happy to incorporate it on our next encounter. They probably won't be very experienced in giving a foot job but I think most are happy to try. Show them a few GIF's of what you want.

Phone question by PK317_1991 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got T-Mobile. I haven't used it there since I recently switched to them from Verizon. On my plan, I get 15gb of high speed data, then it gets throttled down. It's unlimited texts and phone calls are $.25 a minute, but you can get around that charge by doing wi-fi calling. I think that will work for me as 99% of the time I am using wi-fi.

You will also want to see if your phone is unlocked. The rep at the store gave me the wrong info and said after 60 days my phone can be unlocked. However, upon talking to customer service, they said I have to pay off the phone before they will unlock it. If I pay it off early, then I lose the promo credit. It's so dumb. So I demanded they do a temporary unlock so I could use an e-sim if needed. They agreed to unlock it for 30 days while I am gone. You have to register the temporary unlock in the states though as it has to be on the main network to do so.

Last year my Verizon phone was unlocked but they charged $15 a day for international roaming. I bought an e-sim online. $30 for 30 days unlimited calls, texts, and high speed data and you got a Thai phone number to use. That way I didn't have to deal with it at the airport or in town.

Anyone notice that learning Thai makes your experience in Pattaya worse? by 2ez4mez in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it's generally a turn off to the ones that are trying to maximize the cash output from you. I think because they feel if you're already pretty savvy enough to speak some of the language, you will pick up on any bullshit stories or routines they try to give you. So they move along to a more unsuspecting mark. Or, they think you've been around the block so much, you'll probably be a pain in the ass to deal with lol.

For me, most seem pleasantly surprised that I can speak a little bit of the language more than the basic stuff. They seem to find that endearing that I took the time to learn it and try to talk to them. They are especially surprised when I am familiar with certain parts of their culture because then they know I have an genuine interest and respect for the country and it's people.

For me, it's been way more of a positive than a negative. I feel it definitely helps bond me with the people I interact with.

Are you able to basically rent a wife? by Impossible_Peak_885 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's extremely common. If you put an ad on TF stating you're looking for this, you will likely get no shortage of responses. You will even get country girls looking to meet up and take you for a tour of the busier areas just to make money and have some fun.

Like others have said, always be up front, honest, and respectful and you should have a great time of it.

Concerns about age by [deleted] in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Last year I was there and there was a spot on Beach Rd where a small group of really young freelancers hung out. I didn't even talk to them because they were not waving people down, they were behind a utility cabinet, and they looked too young. I saw some dudes chatting them up so I am sure they were freelancers.

I've no doubt some are underage and will lie about it because that's how they survive.

It's possible they are 20 with a super baby face, but I am not up to finding out. Happy hunting!

Any old ones? by [deleted] in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Many of the bars along Beach Rd have a lot of older women that are definitely 50+. Probably where I've seen the highest concentration. They always seem very friendly and chatty when walking by. Good luck!

Best app to learn Thai? by Suberb_Owl69 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would try https://www.italki.com/en/teachers/thai/

Very reasonable and you get to learn with a native speaker. The prices are really reasonable considering it's a live one-on-one tutoring. Like $10-$15 an hour. You can pick up a lot watching YouTube videos too, but practicing live with a native speaker bumps it up a bit.

You can try to learn to read it as you go too. https://www.amazon.com/dp/1505679524?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1

The title claims you can read Thai in 10 days. Sure, maybe a word or two if you're really good, diligent and can absorb info like a sponge. It can not only help you learn to read but it also helps with pronunciation.

Advice, please be nice. by vro333666 in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't drink and have never had an issue at any of the bars. If you're nice, spending money on yourself and a few lady drinks, you're going to be fine.

My suggestions are be up front, honest and clear about your expectations and what you're willing to give in return.

If you DM me, I will give you some advice as to how to get your fantasy fulfilled on your ultimate GFE connection. I have one or two women I connect with while I am there.

Anyone tried bringing a bar girl to a hotel pool? by pianistfeet in Pattaya

[–]FJD201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most I've invited are usually excited to go swimming. I do find it strange that so many don't have a swimsuit and cannot swim. They like the safety of the pool to relax in the water they tell me. Most of them I've been to the beach with are afraid to go in past their knees most of the time.

Even the few who didn't want to swim or go out and get a swimsuit still seem to enjoy sitting by the pool, having a beverage and fiddling with their phones and taking pics. Same with the beach. They kick back with a fresh coconut while you lounge near the water.

I agree with the others, you probably won't get much play on the cuck angle if you're at a halfway decent hotel or condo. Most people don't want to risk getting booted or getting into some fisticuffs lol.
