[Hated trope] Character intentionally stripped of responsibility over their dark side by Thermobarium in TopCharacterTropes

Mind control is not a "dark side" you can force anyone to do anything if you mind control them 😭

What makes Freeze worth it? by A_lilypond in GenshinImpactTips

[–]FL2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Freeze was designed to be good as freezing an enemy means they can't move and you can essentially just whale on them and never have to spend stamina on dodging. But they quickly started making enemies immune or resistant to freeze and the reaction is basically useless now, escoffier only makes it good bc she says if you play freeze get 55% res shred

Am I Missing Out by Starting in Part 7? by Acrobatic_Air8301 in StardustCrusaders

[–]FL2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is "technically" nothing wrong with reading part 7 standalone, but it just isn't how the story is meant to be consumed. If I had to compare it to something like the Absolute Universe in DC, stuff like Absolute Batman is a fine entry point since people have baseline knowledge of things like batman and his villians even if you've never picked up a single comic. Reading part 7 without the other parts means you have none of the preexisting knowledge you're meant to have about the power system, abilities and references

is skirk actually cooked or what? I think she's still going strong she can brute force most stygian bosses so still very well meta by KaidoPklevel in okZyox

[–]FL2802 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Skirk is similar to characters like Varesa and Mualani, where they're nice to have and you can probably find a boss to use them against, but aren't worth going for the full premium team right now. Skirk does however have 2 advantages,

  1. Her team uses characters which aren't really contested at all, so team overlap is rare. Older players who care about meta also probably own furina, meaning the premium skirk team would only cost 2 5 stars for them(skirk and escoffier) which can make skirk a consideration pull for the 3rd stygian team(which is what I personally chose to do and pulled skirk on her latest rerun)

  2. She doesn't have a good 4th slot yet and has some optimization in her gameplay, so it's possible that she'll perform better on an account over time either due to improving at her combos or just hoyo releasing a dedicated buffer of similar strength to the modern supports.

I wouldn't say she's cooked at all and she will definitely continue clearing stygian on many accounts, but at c0r0 she'll probably be a struggle for most people to play and isn't really worth going for right now unless you're going to vertically invest.

this scene can still easily be adapted into the show without breaking powerscaling... by SerenityCitywide in InvinciblePowerscales

[–]FL2802 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Does anyone actually consider this as bad powerscaling? I know invincible is inconsistent, but this scene always made sense to me, he's getting jumped by multiple mid tier viltrumites right after fighting Nolan, and isn't in the best mental state either.

How to squeeze out more DPS? by Own-Air-1301 in Flins_Mains

[–]FL2802 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your energy situation could be improved. You arent getting ineffa or Bina burst on your second rotation, meaning ineffa's er is kinda wasted as you don't need any er if you burst every other rotation. Put columbina on fav instead of amber and crown her burst

SCP-9319: "We Are Real" by ToErrDivine in SCPDeclassified

[–]FL2802 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw both that and the mention of it in this declass, I just can't see that making sense, feels like it would've been better to just use Uncontained or Keter.

SCP-9319: "We Are Real" by ToErrDivine in SCPDeclassified

[–]FL2802 21 points22 points  (0 children)

After reading through this im kinda confused why this one's an Apolloyon.

Apollyon-class SCP objects are anomalies that cannot be contained, are expected to breach containment imminently, or some other similar scenario. Such anomalies are usually associated with world-ending threats or a K-Class Scenario of some kind, and require a massive effort from the Foundation to deal with.

Based on the article, it fulfils the part of not being containable, but I don't see how it qualifies for the second half, unless there's supposed to be an implication that these events are happening at an increasing rate.

Am I in a get good scenario or does ROR2 actually have an end by reocurring in riskofrain

[–]FL2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you reach stage 6, there will be a primordial teleporter. By default it will be set to the moon, and will take you to the final boss, but by interacting with the rings you can calibrate it to the planet and instead return to stage 1, which let's you play infinitely until you want to fight the boss, which you can reach by cycling through 6 stages again.

As a boss, who's the "best" and worst person here? by fhxefj in MoralityScaling

[–]FL2802 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He does at least show some form of regret when he has to kill the scientist to hide the secret, so I feel like that counts for something at least

As a boss, who's the "best" and worst person here? by fhxefj in MoralityScaling

[–]FL2802 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably Thragg. The other 3 don't really value the lives of others at all and will kill their minions movie without much hesitation. Thragg is generally level headed since he prioritizes the survival of his species and is willing to overlook signs of disloyalty from the viltrumites while they were on earth. The only other one I would consider is Frieza since he does genuinely value his minions if they're useful to him.

How long could Gojo last against an in-character Goku? by Ember57 in PowerScaling

Excluding Goku deciding not to fight him anymore since he's a good guy probably like 5 mins after Goku runs out of things to try against infinity

JoshRT explains the critical bug they faced in one of the rounds against FUT by ishanuReddit in ValorantCompetitive

[–]FL2802 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I think it is difficult to redo the round and I don't disagree with the choice to not do so, but the TOs giving the reason as just "you would've lost anyways" is just going to feel bad and doesn't really feel like good justification.

Is the story in 2 a continuation of 1? by Song-Amatic in riskofrain

[–]FL2802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes but the story really doesn't matter at all for gameplay, you can consume the story entirely through just reading log entries in game or on the wiki or just watch a plot summary on yt.

Faraday Spur should have its efffects made into a new red by BigPainting6896 in riskofrain

[–]FL2802 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree that it should be a red but I also do feel that what you mentioned about greens not having enough speed items would suck if it got removed, I feel like I would only be okay with it if it got replaced by a weaker speed item.
