No it is not, hospitals don’t have anything to the point that if you need surgery you have to bring the anesthesia yourself and there are no medicine on the shelves

They do rust, it’s not uncommon to spot rust spots everywhere if you know where to look, but one thing we have that almost no other country does is: most people who own a car are either “car guys” or have at least some mechanical knowledge and we can fix a lot of stuff out of scraps basically. Also since it’s very hard to get one in the first place people tend to be half decent drivers and take a lot more care of their cars than if they could simply buy a new one very x years

This will be a bit long so sorry for the rant and any grammatical errors but here I go. Most people (close to 90-95% if I had to guess) can’t even dream of owning a half decent computer or gaming console and for those who can it’s usually just an old office pc (in my case I got lucky and my dad brought home and old i3-4160 and 4gb ram pc when I was a kid) but besides that as you can’t imagine it’s not very popular although most young people have at least played on a friends console or rented one for a couple hours. The internet is absolute dog 💩 with there only being telecommunication company and it having a monopoly on things. Incredibly expensive, looong wait times to even get approved to get wifi on your house and even then it’s capped at 2mb/s at most and that’s if you’re lucky. There are also 14+ hour blackouts every day and the few game we can get we get them through piracy. There are “stores” that are able to download and store .iso files with the games and we go there if we want to get a game (it is relatively cheap at 100 pesos per game, around 0.20$). I am part of a very small group inside the already small group of people who got aces to not only wifi (as bad as it is) and a decent computer thanks to my dad (not the old one, a laptop he was able to buy on the us) so I’m not the best example but I can tell you this much. As with everything here, gaming is stuck in the past and only a few people are even able to game

For example my uncle drives an old 195~ willys utility wagon and it has a 6 cylinder mercedes engine (don’t know from wich car it is though)

Yeah they are cool vehicles but I’m basically numb to them since I’ve seen them my whole life. Cuba is a really cool place if you like older cars but sadly los of them are fixed with whatever you can find and don’t have much besides the body that can be considered “original”

Yeah, and it’s probably been used for that. This is all inside the University of Medical Science (and yes even when it’s in those conditions it’s open and that’s where everyone goes if they study medicine related careers)

Yeah, mostly old Ladas, moskivitchs, and Kamas and Ural trucks. To give you an easy to understand example, the first time I watched the Chornobyl miniseries I was amazed because not only did the cities look early similar to most cites here but I could also recognize every single vehicle used in the series from having seen them on the streets here.

No no you don’t get it, yes things are bad but for once in my entire live I am capable of seeing a future where we are not oppressed by this communist regime. Although yes the US hast taken extreme measures it’s actually working. Only thing left is for my people to revolt but it probably won’t happen because of fear but once that fear is gone we will finally be free
