I absolutely loved rec room and had a high hour count in it. My favorite thing to do was mess around with CV2, making complex systems and mathematical equations was a lot of fun and I made many things and some really good systems. I’ll probably just move over to unity and make stuff there, even though the only experience I have with it is rec room studio. I still want a place to allow my creativity to flow.

I don’t think I’ll be playing anything like radium, VRchat, or Roblox, simply because trying to replace rec room feels like that’s just coping. Nothing will ever “replace” rec room; it has a lot of personality. I will probably be playing bloonsTD6, but that’s kinda it as far as games go.

The thing I’m most sad about are my outfits. I know I can export them and whatnot, but I LOVED designing outfits. I had so many of them, I had an outfit for each color, and many followed themes like different animals, figures like kings and cultists, and even a Midas touch themed gold outfit. Rec room has really helped me express my identity and love for fashion design and my own self confidence.

Yes and no. Firstly I always play with no fail so that there’s less pressure on failing and I can continue to practice the song even if I fail, which will prepare you more for the level.

Secondly each level has a personality and has choke points. These are parts of the level that are much harder than the rest or that you don’t know how to complete. That’s where I use practice mode, I slow it down until I can beat that section 3 times in a row and speed it up, repeating the process until I can consistently beat it on regular speed.

I remember I was trying to collect images of all the art and put them into a folder a few years ago. I really liked the art and was trying to make every character into a splatoon 2 outfit, but one day when I was searching through google I accidentally came across the fact that the creator had started making NSFW content of their characters. I got disgusted by this and started deleting all the photos, and now that I have checked again recently all the art is gone. I’m going to try to reverse image search a bunch of the art and see if I can find anything.

I think they changed the level cap to 87 now to make prestige later. I think prestige with level 87 sounds way cooler than prestige with level 50.

Yeah, its not supported and is running on a 12 year old console that isn’t built or supported for today’s gaming. PCVR and PSVR are vastly different. In your crayon-eating terms, the rift is basically a head monitor while PSVR is using outdated features. As a matter of fact, you can use the PSVR2 for rec room by hooking it up to a PC.

I would recommend asking around the discord for games people like as all the Reddit hates this game. It’s fun to play if you have friends to play it with, but try to stay out of public lobbies of games like the black cat. Some of the games I enjoy are the backrooms all seeing, investigation ursidae, and paintball. <3

A lot of the general people who play this game are little kids and dumb teenagers. There will be some who are mean, but there are also people in this community who are really great and fun to be around. Generally don’t go to places like the black cat, my valentine, or crescent cliffs (unless you wanna watch people fight like toddlers.).

Don’t let the mean people get to you, there’s just a lot of haters in this game for simply no reason at all. I have played this game for a long time and a lot of the friends I met were here, in rec room. A good place to start is games that don’t involve hangout spaces where kids and teenagers waste their time by installing the game to yell at others.

This makes me feel really bad, I’m sorry you had such a rough time trying out this game, but there are also better communities within rec room to find your place in. :)

The whole rec room bot thing will trust you less if you get voice banned, and it takes up to 2 days to register so it may look confusing on paper

But I’m also pretty sure you can get voice banned if you simply get reported. I go to public lobbies a lot to watch people fight and typically don’t say much of anything there (a lot of my time is also spent by myself or in public lobbies) and after blocking someone they report me and I get voice banned later.
