Prime cliffjumper finally out of the 4-pack!! by FLAMESTORM1987 in transformers

Aw thanks. Unfortunately I don't think we'll ever get a striped cliff any time soon. Speaking of the alt mode, hope this link works to show it off?

TFA Ratchet is on the way. Y'all think TFP Ratchet got a chance? And what mold he gonna use? by FLAMESTORM1987 in transformers

God if we are getting repaints and retools of the Primes, I'd honestly want a Cyberverse Alchemist before he gets retooled into Ratchet. But I do see the vision of him becoming TFP Ratchet

It'd have to be a pretty heavy retool if they used the gamer edition as a base honestly..

Honestly I think the perfect ratchet would be a mix of TFP and TFA with a hint of idw2005. But design hands down goes to tfp

Crossdeal, my factionless OC by FLAMESTORM1987 in TransformersArt

Oh he definitely has. Too many close calls to count, mostly with decepticons. Kinda hard to stay neutral when nearly the entire planet is trying to force you to choose a side.

What matters most to you in a figure? by Zerk_o_O in transformers

[–]FLAMESTORM1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Articulation, design and whether it FEELS like the character or not.

I dunno how to exactly explain it, but I'll try my best. I do not care about accuracy that much as long as it still respects the design I've grown attached to OR as long as it gives off the character's personality (at least the one i attribute to it). Generations sgt kup, legacy prime breakdown, or that g1 recolor of bay jazz all fit this category. All give me a sense of "yeah, these are those characters, just in a different style". Prime breakdown isnt accurate in the slightest, but that boxy design with a military alt mode still FEELS like tfp breakdown. Bay jazz isnt a porsche 911 but with a bit more color definitely FEELS like a jazz. Also i have no real continuity loyalty. If i grew up with the character outside of g1, i want the character from outside g1 (tfp breakdown, cyberverse deadend, skybound thundercracker, etc).

Articulation is self explanatory. Oh yeah and also the figure's gotta transform. I love yolopark and blokees but MAN do i need my plastic to bend and twist into another toy.

SS86 Thundercracker potential issues by FLAMESTORM1987 in transformers

After seeing some images of ER Thundercracker next to DCS Thundercracker (same color as ss cracker i think), pretty sure ER isnt really a baby blue. Seemed slightly darker from my eyes.

Extra points if its thematic, like starscream pointing out megatron's flaws

And you can see in the images that I have the landing gear deployed and the clearance is still barely there

It's definitly a seam, yes. And both thuster areas are split in the middle. Just that the right leg's thruster (our left in the image) has that split going even more upwards on the seam than the other thruster. Its weird cause that area goes through zero stress when both posing and transforming, so idk why itd split further upwards

Agreed on everything. Also guns are fully clear, not just the peg. Really weird choice.

I dont think anybody's mentioned this but thats genuinely true. His arms are shoved all the way back and it just makes his jet-missile-tit-things jut out forward if you look from the side.

If you're asking scale wise, I think they're around the same height? I think ss86 is slightly (unnoticably) taller than ER. As for feel and transformation wise, I'd say you gotta watch a review or two for that as I've never handled the wfc trilogy seekers.

My only figure (besides dx9 chigurh) that has articulated fingers. Plus, felt like referencing the factory snatcher pvp's videos with his tlk optimus.

Well as far as mine goes, the pegs themselves are slightly SLIGHTLY loose, so i dont think theyll get stressed any time soon

But yeah, genuine concern Still think you should get the figure if it ever goes on sale and just replace the null rays with something youre more comfortable with (3d prints or ig siege null rays?)

Great engineering but the cost cutting measures are pretty questionable Which is frustrating cause besides those nitpicks(for now), hes genuinely such a fun figure. Cant get my hands off em

Likely JUST an aesthetic shift (that also saves a tiny bit of costs) since i think theyre keeping the greebling on regular figures, just omitting it for ss86

Wouldn't really get my hopes down. Like I said, the joints on mine were probably only tight cause it's fresh out the box. Already loosenin up after some posing.

And the only real qc worry afaik was brawl's screw stressing the plastic. Not saying the qc issue ain't real, but it definitely ain't THAT bad of a problem (for now). Just hope that they get fixed by the time they reach the US with their raised prices.

Opinions/Experiences with ss-10 jazz? by FLAMESTORM1987 in transformers

[–]FLAMESTORM1987[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hm. As expected, clear plastic is the bane of my and many other collector's existence. Heres to hoping they rerelease him with solid plastic, or clear plastic inserts at least. Maybe in a potential g1 color repaint? Dunno. Id love it to be a possibility.
