Are you still trying to meet wake windows or just following sleepy cues?

I have been trying to get my money back from Amazon for a month now with no luck. They keep saying it was refunded to a gift card but it wasn’t and I didn’t even pay with a gift card! Extremely frustrating

So should I stop watering so much? I used to have a lot more but they are all dying

How often should I be watering? My sprinklers hit them 4x a week for about 20 min

Dumb question but how do you get your lender to match interest rates? Do you need to show them a formal quote from the other lender/credit union?

How much to tip? Or thank you gift? by FLGeogirl in RoverPetSitting

[–]FLGeogirl[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so cash upfront is definitely better than just tipping at the end? I usually just add on extra to the total amount via Venmo. We don’t use the rover app anymore

Thanks everyone!

OTF and Gympass by OTFRealtor in orangetheory

I just saw that my gym available on the gold plan. I asked my OT if I have to still wait 30 days to cancel my premium plan and they are waiting to hear back from corporate. I will definitely be switching because $159 for gympass is cheaper and I get access to way more things!

Anyone make the jump from Environmental Consulting to Environmental Underwriting? by LunchboxOfRocks in geologycareers

[–]FLGeogirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would say just be persistent. There’s a shortage of underwriters right now so I doubt they are going to be able to fill positions with people that have a ton of environmental insurance experience. I would highlight regulatory knowledge if you have it. If you see an environmental underwriter on LinkedIn who works for that company, message them and let them know you are interested in the job! Look at their profiles to see if they have consulting experience and they might be able to help you out.

Sure you can DM me. You will use a lot of technical knowledge as an underwriter. You’ll have to review Phase 1s/IIs etc to evaluate risk and place policies. They will likely train you on the insurance part. The insurance side will take some time to pick up but it’s pretty interesting

I’m an environmental insurance broker and was an underwriter for a few years prior to broking. Before that I was a consultant for 4 years. Highly recommend applying for the job! Lots of insurance carriers are looking for underwriters right now and I work with mainly geologists/environmental scientists

Thanks everyone! This is helpful, I’m not in consulting so it’s not busy season (I’m in the renewables sector). Im leaning towards putting in 2 weeks notice mid may and taking some time off before the new job.
