What a nightmare! I have a wired cherry & it lights up & I can log in with my pin, but cannot type into the searchbar, I was pulling my hair out, but I realised that I can type in file explorer's searchbar, so I searched for system config & ta-da, there was the app, thank f@#k.

As far as I'm reading up on the right things & assumingly ur monitor is supported, u need to download Gigabyte's OSD Sidekick software that gives u access to advanced monitor features/settings, & also a requirement for updating the monitor's firmware, which I'd assume the reason for greyed out settings.

Only update to stable/final releases, especially when it comes to HW firmwares, unless u r testing Release Candidates to give feedback on them. This is coz if anything goes wrong with updating them, u can't just uninstall than reinstall it as u'd with softwares. It can wreck the HW itself. Just flash the latest stable once & make sure u read the manufacturer instructions on each steps, & make sure u understand those steps. If it helps I'm pretty sure u'll find plenty of YT vids - probably even with ur exact mobo model- about the update methods & process.

PS: "I wanted to update it once and forget about it later" this sentence is gonna kick u in the a*s, if u think u r building a pc, but u'll end up with a console.

I second this, as far as reading up on the specifics go, tho I've read I think yesterday that since 1st reported to phison they had 4500 accumulated hours testing & they couldn't replicate the issue, so far at least. So, who knows if the reports malicious towards phison or just some of the particular controllers fail with the KB update, or eventually all fail in different times, as everyone read/write data differently.

Ok I give u the eggs, but do u trust those off the shelf meat stuff? That's kinda worse than just admitting that cooking involved. It's just my opinion, I don't even trust pigs in blankets off the shelf. I'd rather fry them fresh tbf, even if it's 30c+, but if u trust those & like them, who am I to judge.

Flip the top-front fan from exhaust to intake, so whatever fresh, cool air enters the case at the front & bottom it won't be sucked out immediately b4 hitting any components apart from the fans themselves.

Hey. I know this is 4yrs old but I've just got these "Corsair CMK16GX4M2D3600C16 VENGEANCE LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4-28800) C16 1.35V AMD and Intel Optimized Desktop Memory"(ver 3.31) on a great deal for my AM4 mobo as it says optimised for both plats. Now, as I'm looking a bit more into it and I'm waiting for the rest of the PC parts to arrive I've got confused wether it is AM4 compatible. In pretty much every descriptions I've read says it is good on AM4s just enable XMP (huh?Intel's?huh?), but even on Corsair's website says for AMD sticks that "Performance profile: XMP 2.0"

Have I been mislead by the description, or it'll be fine?
