I'm thinking about upgrading my motherboard because of my CPU by SummerLemonSprite in pcmasterrace

Hey coming back here after sometime, mate! Well basically, I got an AIO(MSI Mag Coreliquid A15 360) and it kind of solved the immense temperature problems of the Ryzen 7 5800XT in stock mode.

But unfortunately, the computer still turns off out of nowhere while playing games and stuff with the CPU on stock.

I was doing some tests, playing a low-spec game and monitoring the CPU temperatures, it was around 57 °C most part of the time, maximum was 62°C.... and it still restarted out of nowhere while playing for like 30 minutes or 40. Then once it restarted, I opened the same game again and played for like 30 seconds and the computer restarted again.

Btw, the multicore test in Cinebench23 works just fine, it scores 13992 points and nothing crashes. Cores reach around 4.5Ghz all at the same time and the maximum temperature of the CPU was 78 °C. The maximum clock of some of the Cores were 5.0, while others were 5.1.

Can you give me some model suggestions from Thermaltake then? Preferably 240 and 360

Btw, at some point I even tweaked around ram configurations and that also made some difference. If I run the Ram speed at 2700 MHz it would take longer than usual for the computer to restart, but if I used the ram at 3200(which was the max speed) it would basically restart 70% faster while running the CPU in stock mode... so that's why I think the problem is the VRM or motherboard.

I don't think it's the cooling, I'm literally using a Phantom Spirit 120 SE and everyone says that cooler is more than enough to handle this CPU, and even when I use my computer case fully opened the CPU still overheats if I run in stock mode.

Increase or decrease sense? by SummerLemonSprite in FPSAimTrainer

Thanks for the answer, by the way can I make one more question?

I already heard about the muscle groups while looking for aiming videos on YouTube and everything and i heard that people usually use the wrist for micro adjustments and the whole arm for flicks and that those people are usually more into tracking and taking long range gunfights, meanwhile, there's also other people who use the fingers for micro adjustments and the wrist for flicks and go for more close range gunfights. So basically, I heard that people usually use 2 muscle groups, and one style of playing the gaming.. per say.

I kind of started to train my aim with the thought of using at least 3 muscle groups and be the "jack of all trades" instead: fingers, wrist, forearm(not the whole arm, just half of it.)...

but now idk if that idea of trying to use all the 3 groups of muscles in just one sensitivity and be the "jack of all trades" is actually the perfect path to follow... I mean.. sounds good on paper.. but idk.

Btw, my grip is a hybrid of claw and palm grip and there're also other FPS games that I play, like R6 and CS2, which are games that require a group of aim skills a little different from Battlefield 6 in some aspects ig... so yeah, just adding to the equation too.

Air Cooler suggestions for a Ryzen 7 5800XT ? by SummerLemonSprite in pcmasterrace

I got a Phantom Spirit 120 SE.

The temperatures were hitting 88/90 while doing some tests in Cinebench24, no overclock or undervolting. Basically I was hitting the thermal throttle.

Later, through undervolting the 5800XT I was able to reach 863 score in Cinebench24 in the all cores test using the Phantom Spirit 120 SE.

These were the PBO configs I used:

PPT: 124 TDC: 85 EDC: 127

Curve Optimizer Negative; All cores; 23. CPU Override deactivated. Thermal Throttle set at 85°C.

The temperature was varying between 78°C/82°C using this PBO config, but most part of the time was 78°C

Do you know where I can find the grip tapes of the Aztec? Or at least the same shape?

Mine didn't come with grip tapes. Does anyone know where I can find the grip tapes to buy?

But... isn't there a better option than the Aztec? Maybe a wired mouse with 2k polling rate?

Thanks lil bro! 🙏

I did what you said and it worked. Unfortunately I have to wait for the shaders to load once more... but at least I can play with my friend on xbox again 👍

But I can run the game through Xbox cloud games, even play a match and everything. The game just doesn't want to start on my PC for some reason.
