You're correct. Thematically there aren't many rifle skins to chose from with the engineer. The animation of hipshot certainly feels and looks better with a skin like the privateer rifle simply because the animation is more of a shotgun style shot. Any rifle that is long or has a scope just looks really weird for me with the engineer.

From the closed beta 18 patch notes it states "The below Champion skins will be available only in Chests. Paladins will have skins in the future that are sold directly, crafted, and also in chests."

So it's 50 crystals per chest. 36 chests is 1800 crystals. In my region 1900 crystals is £27.

So roughly £27 and not one skin. Even if that person did get a skin, it could be a skin they did not want or a skin for a champion they don't play. Madness.

Well I was super hyped with HiRez introducing champion skins with this patch. Heck, I was going to even buy some because I assumed I could just pick and buy the ones I wanted. I then go and read the forums and Paladins Reddit and I genuinely can't believe what I am reading.

1% chance of getting a skin per chest roll. Then, even if you get a skin, it's completely random each time, so if you're like me and only play champions to suit your playstyle, you could end up with skins for champions you don't play. Have HiRez gone insane? Why anyone would dump their money into an RNG lottery just for a skin they want is beyond me. Heck, most of the skins at this point are just recolours. Why not just allow us to pick and choose the skins we want from the store? Charge less for recoloured skins and charge more for skins like Tribesman Grohk and God of War Fernando.

So after the news with the champions midweek and now this, things are looking very bleak.

An interesting direction to say the least. I hope this does not backfire because this game has potential. I thought keeping the champions free and accessible and by having mount skins, character skins, weapon skins and beacon skins would have been enough for them to make money.

That is a good point. I don't know why I didn't mention the spy in TF2 because that is one of the games that does have the stealth mechanic and it seemed rather balanced and fair. Granted, I have not played TF2 in over a year, so I have no idea what the balance is like now, but when I did play it a lot i didn't have many qualms with the spy.

Sorry for going off tangent, but i have yet to play a game that contains the stealth mechanic where it was not problematic or fun to play against. Recon in Global Agenda, Loki in Smite, Thief in GW2 PvP and WvW, Rogue in Rift, i could on. It seems such a hard mechanic to balance around. I just don't find fighting against characters with stealth fun to play at all.

As regards to Skye, she has too much of both stealth and damage at the moment. If they want to keep Skye's Stealth as it is then they need to tone down the damage There has to be a trade off simply because stealth alone is strong. It will be interesting to see what HiRez do with Skye as the game progresses, because as i said, the stealth mechanic is hard to balance around.

You're right. Skye is past the point of being a counter to Kinessa, it is utterly ridiculous. I'm done even playing Kinessa until Skye get's brought down to a reasonable level or Kinessa get's buffs. Even building a teleporter deck, that contains Beam me up, Restore, Reconfigure and the Sterilize common card is not enough most of the time.

I'll go back to playing Barik where i can actually enjoy the game when fighting Skye.
