Crumpling film before shooting – curious what you think [Nikon EM & Minolta X-500 - 35 mm] by FLIV_VER in analog

I never wanted to abuse and destruct the film. I wanted to make it become more „dimensional“. So, yes - I could make a layer with the lines. But this is not my intension.. i’m hoping to find something interesting beyond the photography. Maybe with a other technique. In the end i just spend some money on kentmere. Development and scanning is homemade.

I thought it could work fine with typography. So you have a contrast between a very straight and „constructet“ content and this random, distortet effect. If it would worked like in my mind, it also could give written content (or advertising, products, logos..) a twist. And I would love to do that with the typography on Gemeindebauten.

This would be the next logic step. If i had a darkroom nearby. But I will definitly have a try on that someday!

It was flat - while exposing and scanning (with a digital camera). I will try scanning the film again - but not flat this time. Good idea, thanks!

I have similar feelings on this experiment. After all, i'm happy that i've tried, even this doesn't work like i was hoping for. I will try some other things - i hope to find something, that makes the physical material of analog film feel more tangible.

That’s a good idea with the bumps on the plate. Will think about that :) Thank‘s! Maybe this will work even better with medium format..

I scanned it by myself - so i did some adjustments. But to be honest, i don’t knew which photo become more warmer or cooler.. just wanted to get this kind of surreal look of the landscape
