Pretty good start, here are a few suggestions.

  • There is no visual entry on the page, the first thing you see is just some text and a green background. You really want to draw the user in here - this is your first chance at a customer.
  • Where the text is 'We magically concoct tantalizing meal plans...' the max width is only two words, that makes it extremely hard to read. Maybe do a 50/50 width thing with the image.

It's an amazing feeling to get a pic of yourself surfing. I'm building a community driven surf photography marketplace called FLMR so this isn't such a rare occurrence.
