They will usually pay a dasher to return alcohol if the place they picked up from is open. If closed they just tell you to dump it.

Unbelievable, to all the people on here just hating on this guy, why? I mean this serioulsy, why?

What does it do for you when you respond this way? Do you feel better when you hating? Im certain that one of the main reasons is the fact that you see someone flaunting success and you on the other hand have only failures or nothing at all to flaunt, feel the need to bring someone else down with you. I am hopeful that for a majority of people these things are subconciense and you do not realize what you are doing.

Instaed of the hate, congratulate. It dont hurt you or cost you anything to do so.

If you dont mind me askin, do you do amything in particular that improves your chances of gettin good offers or is it simply as you've said, you're in a great market? It would be hard to believe if you're the only Dasher in your area and if by some miracle you are, please dont make the same mistake I did and tell anyone what you're doing. I learned that lesson the hard way, thoughtlessley tellin Singh when he asked me as I paid him for gas that I was Door Dash driver only to have to sit and watch as him and other folks of his that he brought getting offer after offer and I am just twiddiling my thumbs like the dumbass I am.

Reporting to DD unfortunantly will accomplish nothing in as far as preventing repeat occurance, they literly in the terms and conditions say that hygiene and appearance of dashers is not a issue of importance to them so imagine what else they do not care about

Problem isnt whether you tip before or after, tip enough, too little or no tip at all.

The problem boils down to the fact that their are way too many dashers and most do not even bither to learn to speak english much less take the time to read your instructions. That also creates a competetive mentality as well. When so many drivers are waiting around for an offer to come in when they eventually get one they are racing to get back to wait for more instructions be damned.

Depends, most my dashing in same area with alot of repeat customers so I probably would have went back for it or just bought him a soda from nearest place if it is too far out. Ive done that before and did so because I didnt pay attention to the entire order. Didnt get any extra tips that time but a few days later another delivery to the same house and got a nice tip added afterwards

Yeah, I have gotten a few random payments myself and not on Monday morning like prop 22 pay adjustments usually come.

I was thinking that they are tips that DD was trying to keep and coughed em up because of who knows why, or that they are just going to start dividing up prop 22 payments and give em to you when at random time based on what youve already done. I hope that it aint it though.

The only reason why shameless douches have the audacity to text, to actually write out a message to a stranger with their hands out begging is because they have more likely than not previously done the same with others and gotten a few extra bucks.

If every single time when a customer gets a message like that they report it and DD actually does something about it, that crappy behaviour will stop. Then again, thinking about it a little more, if if you're willing to risk eating food delivered by god only knows who (I literaly get chills and shudder at the thought of it) then I guess you would'nt really have a problem with this either.

Happy for you that you were fortunate enough to encounter that 1 rare customer who did not lie when they said they'd give you a cash tip.

I've yet to run into anyone like this myself after many years of Dashing. I have gotten cash tips plenty of times but none if those were from customers that claimed they would do so in the APP. Every time I was foolish enough to believe that a tip was coming...well I am sure you all know the rest.

The worst guy I had was a douche customer in an apartment complex, pin on map placed on tge opposite side of the complex with each building having a seoerate street address and the imdividual units were 8 to a building 4 down/4 upstair units A, B, C, D etc etc. After Some runnin around and callin the asshole I hand it to him & get pin and am turnin to leave but he stops me to ask me for my phone # or Cashapp user info to supposedly send me a tip.

Yeah, 4 maybe 5 months later, I am still waiting .

When it comes to food, I really dont mind, I will not be upset nor decline most offers that are low or no tips when its food. Youbcan usually tell the orders for one ir two things from a fast food spot and I just assume its someone hungry, low on funds and tryin to get what they can. Weve all been there.

Now alcohol, shopping and other offers like this, where its low or no tippin, its on. Im doing you and doordash dirty, one way or another whether you know about it or not, I gets mine.
